Abe Mosseri claims Eli Elezra owes him $853,000 and threatens his family!

Eli Elezra’s poker debt scandal isn’t blowing over just yet. First, the alleged debtor released a statement, then he was hit by another, even more serious allegations by Abe Mosseri!

As we reported last week, Elezra’s AMA on the 2+2 Forum ended disastrously for the veteran poker pro. Originally, it was meant to promote his upcoming memoir, Pulling the Trigger.

However, it ended up causing a firestorm in the online poker community as Elezra was hit by allegations of unpaid debts.

Cole South himself made a post claiming he only got $60K back from the $100K he loaned Elezra. Even Doug Polk covered the story – in his video he states that Shaun Deeb told him Elezra owes him a large amount too.

The infamous thread is was unavailable for a period of time, now it’s back up again. Also, we have other updates on the story.

Eli Elezra responds on 2+2

In about two weeks after the AMA debacle, Elezra took to the 2+2 Forum again, releasing a long statement.

In it, he claims that he himself is owed $2 million by other poker players.

“When a poker player decides to lend another poker player money, they do so with the inherent risk that it might not be paid back. At no time when I borrowed money did I ever make a promise to pay loans back the next day. During the Full Tilt days, money flowed like water and when it came to paying people back it was never an issue.

Almost $2 million is owed to me by poker players to whom I have lent money over the years, but I have never gone public with their names” – Elezra writes.

He also claims that Cole South is misrepresenting the truth when he says he’s not returning his messages. Elezra also asks the forum users not to bombard his book on Amazon with 1-star reviews – that strategy is unlikely to ever work, though.

Shortly after Cole South returned to the forum as well. He posted a screenshot of a private message to refute the claim that Elezra’s not ignoring him.

Later, however, South wrote to the forum that he spoke to Elezra on the phone. According to him, while he received no payments, some arrangements were made that he’s happy with.

Things Go from Bad to Worse – Abe Mosseri Steps Forward

This time, it was another famous poker pro, Abe Mosseri turn to attack Elezra.

The “location” is once again 2+2’s News, Views, and Gossip board. In his post Mosseri says that the Israeli poker pro owes him $873K, 20 times what South claimed.

Even worse, the post also alleges that Elezra has threatened Mosseri’s family in order to keep him from going public abouts the money he owes him.

“I decided today to speak out after Eli sent me texts of threats about my family most likely scared I was going to out him. (…) I really do not think Eli is so insane yet to come on here and call me a liar but so be it. Figure is 853k. A loan not a gambling debt. I do not have to lie the truth is bad enough” – Mosseri’s shocking statement claims.
