Who Can Register at BetKings
BetKings accepts residents of five countries only: Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro. The restriction is printed on the signup form itself, directly above the registration button.
We tested this from an Austrian connection in August 2026. The eligibility notice appears before you enter anything, so there is no way to get partway through registration and find out later.
That list is narrower than most poker rooms, and it explains the rest of the site. BetKings publishes in English, Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian, with no other language editions.
All Five Countries Can Also Play at GGPoker
This is the part that decides whether BetKings is worth your account. Every country BetKings accepts is also served by GGPoker directly.
So BetKings is not a workaround for players locked out of the main room. It is a second door into the same building, with a different offer attached to it.
One account, not two. BetKings and GGPoker run on the same platform, so a player can hold an account at one or the other. Registering at BetKings closes the GGPoker option, and the reverse is also true. This is worth settling before you sign up rather than after.

What BetKings Actually Is
BetKings describes itself as a marketing portal for GGPoker. That wording is theirs, not ours, and it sits in the footer of every page on their site: all services and promotions are regulated and managed by GGpoker.
The registration email says the same thing more plainly. It thanks you for choosing BetKings as your partner in your GGpoker journey, which is an accurate description of what the brand does.
In practice that means BetKings handles marketing, community and its own promotions. GGPoker handles the client, the account, your funds, verification and support.
The code field on that screen is where our tracking sits. GGPoker’s own wording tells you what entering it does: the code holder can see your account activity and contact you through the platform. That is how any affiliate or agent code works on this network, and it is worth reading before you tick past it.
If you miss the screen, it is not lost. Send us your BetKings username afterwards and we pass the details to BetKings so the account can still be linked to us.
Why GGPoker Runs a Separate Brand
The GG Network reaches different markets through regional brands rather than through one global site, and BetKings is the one built for its corner of Europe.
It publishes in Serbian, Croatian and Slovenian, runs a local Discord and Telegram, and sponsors its own team of streamers. None of that exists on ggpoker.com, which reaches those markets in English only.
The bigger welcome bonus is what makes that second door worth walking through, and it is the main thing BetKings controls that GGPoker does not.

The right hand column is why most of this review reads as a GGPoker review. Everything a player touches after signing up belongs to GGPoker, and the differences sit almost entirely in the left hand column.
Where your money sits. Your balance is held by the GGPoker entity, not by BetKings. Deposits, withdrawals, verification and any dispute go through GGPoker under its terms, whichever brand you signed up with.
Who Is Licensed, and Where
BetKings’ own footer names OK Consulting N.V., registered in Willemstad, Curacao, with payments processed by OKC International Limited in Larnaca, Cyprus. It cites a Curacao master licence and a sub-licence number.
That structure no longer exists. Curacao replaced the master and sub-licence model with direct licensing through the Curacao Gaming Authority at the end of 2024, so a footer still citing a sub-licence is describing a regime that has been gone for around twenty months.
Their terms and conditions page points somewhere else again, to GGPoker’s own terms and the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission. Those are different regulators with different complaint procedures.
None of this means BetKings is unlicensed. It means the published information is out of date, which matters if you ever need to escalate a dispute. We have asked which entity currently holds accounts for players in the five eligible countries and will update this section when they answer.
BetKings vs GGPoker: You Only Get One
Because both brands sit on the same platform, this is a single decision rather than something you can revisit. Pick one, and the other closes.
The client, the tables, the player pool, the rake and the rakeback programme are identical either way. Two things are not: the welcome bonus, and what each brand adds on top.
BetKings vs GGPoker Welcome Bonus
BetKings pays a bigger headline figure than GGPoker, but both release bonus money at exactly the same rate: $1 for every $5 you pay in net rake or tournament fees.
That matters more than the percentage. Per unit of rake the two bonuses are worth the same, so the only real difference is how much you can collect before the ceiling stops you.

Below $3,000 in rake the two bonuses pay identically. A player raking $400 over three months collects $80 whichever brand they signed up with, and at that level our GGPoker rakeback deal is the better account because of what comes with it.
The extra $400 only exists above that line, and reaching it takes serious volume. Read the offer as a bigger ceiling rather than a better rate, because that is what it is.
Net rake is not the same as rake. Overlays, payment fees and GGPoker’s own player weighting all reduce the figure your bonus clears against, so the totals above are floors rather than what a winning player should expect.
One point in BetKings’ favour: at 200%, a $500 deposit reaches the full $1,000, where GGPoker needs $600 to reach $600. If you are depositing anyway, BetKings asks for less to hand you more.

The specific promotions change monthly, so treat the layer as a small extra rather than a reason to pick the brand. Most of what BetKings advertises is the same schedule GGPoker runs.
Do not register twice. Opening a second account across GGPoker and BetKings breaches the network’s one account per player rule, and the consequences run to account closure and forfeited balances. Decide which brand you want before you register anywhere.
BetKings Rakeback: Ocean Rewards Explained
Rakeback at BetKings runs through Ocean Rewards, the network programme that replaced Fish Buffet on 30 January 2026. Every account is enrolled automatically, though players in some regions have to opt in from the client.
You earn 100 Tide Points for every $1 you pay in rake, alongside a second currency called GEMs that multiplies as you climb. Cashback runs from 16% at the bottom tier to 80% at the top.
That 80% figure is the one every affiliate site leads with. It is real, and almost nobody reaches it.
Ocean Rewards Tiers and What They Pay
There are eight tiers, earned on Tide Points, which means on rake paid. Here are four of them, to show the shape of the ladder.

Read the second column before the third. The advertised 80% requires $100,000 in rake, which is a full time professional at mid to high stakes. Figures are taken from BetKings’ own Ocean Rewards page.
A player who pays $2,000 in rake reaches Turtle and earns 40% from that point on. As with every tiered rakeback programme, the rate applies to rake you pay after reaching the tier rather than to the rake that got you there, which is worth knowing before you plan around a table like the one above.
Four Things the 80% Figure Leaves Out
Ocean Rewards is a genuine improvement on Fish Buffet, which capped at 60%. It also carries conditions that no promotional page mentions.
- Your rake is weighted. GGPoker applies a Player Value Index that credits less rake to consistent winners than to recreational players, so two players paying the same rake can climb at different speeds
- Points reset every January. Tide Points zero at 00:00 UTC on 1 January, and missing the threshold means demotion for the year ahead
- Overlays reduce what you earn. Playing a guaranteed tournament that fails to fill cuts the Tide Points and GEMs credited for it
- GEMs are voided if you close your account. Unredeemed GEMs disappear on account closure or permanent self exclusion, and GGPoker is under no obligation to convert them to cash
The weighting is the one worth understanding, because it is undisclosed and it moves the number most. GGPoker publishes neither the formula nor your individual multiplier, so your effective rate can sit well below your tier rate. The 80% is a ceiling, not a rate. It applies to the top tier only, after $100,000 in rake, and rake credited toward your tier is weighted by a formula GGPoker does not publish. Plan around your realistic tier rather than the advertised maximum.
Software, Games and Payments
There is no BetKings client. Click download on their site and you get GGPoker, which you install and log into with the account you created through BetKings.
That means the software section of this review is a GGPoker software section. The client runs on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, and it is one of the more feature dense clients in online poker.
PokerCraft handles session tracking and hand history review inside the client, alongside Smart HUD, EV Cashout, all-in insurance, staking, Rabbit Hunt and Run It Three Times.
Trackers Are Not Allowed
This rules the room out for a lot of serious players, and it is the detail most likely to be missed by anyone moving across from another network.
GGPoker prohibits third party tracking software. PokerTracker and Holdem Manager cannot be used, and the ban extends to running them on other sites while the GGPoker client is open.
PokerTracker itself confirms it does not support a HUD here. What you get instead is Smart HUD, which shows statistics on opponents built from hands played at your own tables rather than from a database you own.
Games and Traffic
BetKings has no separate player pool. You sit in the GG Network pool, which is the largest in online poker and shares tables across every brand on the network.
Cash games run No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha, plus Rush and Cash fast fold, 6+ Short Deck, All-In or Fold, Spin and Gold, Flip and Go and Mystery Battle Royale.
The tournament schedule is the network’s, including GGMillions$, GGMasters, Bounty Hunters, Omaholic and daily guarantees. None of it is specific to BetKings.
Deposits and Withdrawals
Payments run through the GGPoker cashier, not through BetKings, and funds are held and processed by the GGPoker entity.
Available methods depend on your country, and the cashier is the only reliable place to check what your account can actually use. Broadly that means cards, Skrill, Neteller, Payz, MiFinity, LuxonPay, MuchBetter and bank transfer.
Two costs worth knowing in advance: Skrill and Neteller carry a deposit fee, and withdrawals carry a small flat fee per transaction.
- Withdrawals return to your deposit method. GGPoker operates a closed loop, so money goes back the way it came in
- Verification triggers at a threshold. Account checks are required once net deposits pass a set amount, and larger withdrawals can prompt source of funds questions

No HUDs or trackers. If your game depends on PokerTracker, Holdem Manager or any database driven HUD, this network is not for you. The restriction applies while the client is open, including to tools you are running on other sites.
What to Know Before You Deposit
Most of the terms that catch people out here are GGPoker’s rather than BetKings’, and they are not on the promotional page in any prominent way.
None of them are unusual for the industry. They are just easier to hit than most players expect.
- Withdrawing cancels your remaining bonus. Any locked bonus cash and any tickets not yet awarded are invalidated when you cash out. The client warns you first, but it catches players who withdraw a win mid clear
- Two different clocks run at once. You have 60 days to top up deposits toward the maximum bonus, and 90 days from the award to clear it. Whatever has not unlocked by day 90 expires
- Free tickets expire in 24 hours. If you take the rewards option instead of the match, tickets release daily at 07:00 UTC and are gone a day later
- The bonus choice is final. You pick the match or the rewards from a dropdown on the deposit page, and it cannot be changed afterwards
- Your funds sit with GGPoker. Deposits, withdrawals, verification and any dispute are handled by the GGPoker entity under its terms, not by BetKings
Is BetKings Safe for Winning Players?
The network enforces its rules on playing style, not only on cheating. Accounts have been closed and balances confiscated for what GGPoker classes as predatory play, including targeting weaker opponents by table selection.
The best known case involved a high stakes professional whose account was closed with roughly $130,000 in winnings withheld, after the network ruled he had returned under a previous ban. The room’s position was that the money went back to the players he had taken it from.
Whether that is fair is a separate argument. The practical answer is that BetKings is safe for a winning player who plays a normal game, and carries real risk for anyone whose edge comes from selecting weak opponents rather than from playing well.
Your BetKings account is a GGPoker account and the policy applies to it in full.
If Gambling Stops Being Fun
Ocean Rewards has one term worth flagging here rather than in the rakeback section. Unredeemed GEMs are voided if you close your account or self exclude permanently, and GGPoker is under no obligation to convert them to cash.
That creates a small financial reason not to stop, at exactly the moment stopping matters most. If you are weighing it up, the balance is not worth the delay.

BetKings or GGPoker: Our Verdict
BetKings is a legitimate way into the GG Network with a bigger welcome bonus attached. It is also the same poker room as GGPoker, with a smaller set of extras around it.
For most players in those five countries, GGPoker is the better account to open. The bonus difference only pays above $3,000 in rake, and below that line the two pay identically while our GGPoker deal adds private freerolls and rake races on top.
BetKings makes sense in one case, and it is a real one rather than a consolation.
