Telma is the Head of Publishing at VIP-Grinders, where she oversees all editorial output across the English, Portuguese, and Spanish editions of the site. Based in Malta, she has been part of the VIP-Grinders team since 2018, first as Content Manager for the Brazilian market, then as Head of Publishing across all three language hubs. In December 2024 she took on the role of Marketing Director, leading both the content and marketing departments.
Her iGaming career spans 8+ years and multiple sides of the industry. Before rejoining VIP-Grinders full-time in 2024, Telma spent a year as Senior English Site Manager at Gaming Innovation Group (GiG), where she managed two English-language affiliate websites, worked with SEO teams and freelance writers, and reported on traffic and content performance.
She also held a Senior Content Editor position at Sportsbook Review (SBR), one of the most established names in sports betting media, where she managed editorial workflows, led a team of writers and editors, and ensured all content met strict SEO and quality standards. Earlier in her career, she worked in casino customer support at Aspire Global, giving her direct, first-hand experience with how players interact with online casino and sportsbook products.
This combination of editorial management, SEO strategy, affiliate operations, and front-line player support means Telma understands the iGaming industry from multiple angles. At VIP-Grinders, she personally tests and reviews the poker rooms and casinos featured on the site, verifies bonus terms and rakeback data monthly, manages the editorial calendar for poker events and promotions, and sets the quality standards every article must meet before publication.
Telma’s academic background includes studies in Translation at Nova University Lisbon, a background that supports her work across VIP-Grinders’ English, Portuguese, and Spanish hubs.
Her connection to poker started in 2011, when she first learned the game from her husband during a vacation in Palma de Mallorca using an old deck and her bracelets as makeshift chips. When she’s not working, Telma enjoys walking her dog along the Maltese promenade, painting, reading, and traveling.
