Dan Bilzerian kicked off a massive row on poker Twitter this week when he called Canadian player and streamer Vanessa Kade a ‘hoe’ – claiming nobody even knows who she is…

Dan Bilzerian vs Vanessa Kade
Although he clearly meant to use the words ‘ho’, a modern version of ‘whore’, it sparked a huge backlash about sexism and misogyny in poker.
Bilzerian has become famous as the self-styled King of Instagram on the back of OTT pics and videos of himself with groups of scantily clad or even completely naked women, with cars, guns, and other ‘boytoys’ all part of the show.
Those include some very demeaning shots where he celebrates National Women’s Day like this…

With claims to have won $50million in highstakes poker games, Bilzerian has, unfortunately, many would say, been considered a part of the poker scene for quite some time now.
He famously called out legendary crusher Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates over who has won more…
Definitely won more money than your ass in poker, that’s a fact

…and last year claimed to be a “pioneer” of aggressive poker, explaining on the True Geordie podcast how he tricked opponents into thinking he was just a “rich idiot” before taking their money.
Where his money really came from is a story for another day, the focus this week his offensive comments against Vanessa Kade.
