Doug Polk has revealed the results of his top 20 poker players ever poll in his latest video. Phil Ivey topped the results, which saw thousands of votes, with Doyle Brunson the runner-up.

Three weeks ago, Doug Polk tweeted to his followers that he wanted names for a short list of the best 100 poker players of all time. The plan was to then whittle this down to a top 20 by taking votes from the fans.
The problem with this kind of poll is that fans sometimes struggle to be objective and the poll becomes nothing more than a popularity contest.
That said, the final results do look to represent accurately what is likely popular opinion throughout the poker community.
