VIP-Grinders sponsored six players for the epic 2023 WPT World Championship and with Lars Liedtke and Tamas Bozsony two of them had a deep run. Check out the poker sponsorship review here.

Lars Liedtke one of the big stacks after Day 2

VIP-Grinders sent a strong team of six players, consisting of Mate and Milan Hanusi, Zoltan Lanzski, Seb Karlsson, Tamas Bozsony and Lars Liedtke to the 2023 WPT World Championship.

While the first four busted on Day 1, Tamas Boszony and Lars Liedtke made it not only into the money, but deep into Day 3.

Lars Liedtke had a great Day 2 building his stack from 190,000 chips up to a whopping 1,100,000 at the end of the Day.

This equalled 1.5x average and was a Top 100 stack with only 480 of 3,835 players left.

Tamas ended Day 2 with 400,000 chips, but 25 big blinds were a playable stack due to the great structure and levels being 90 minutes.

Day 2 ended when the bubble bursted, which meant both Lars and Tamas were already in the money and everything was still possible.

Tamas Bőzsöny and Lars Liedtke bust deep into Day 3

Lars Liedtke started the day with an above average stack, but drew a very tough table, with Bryn Kenney, Kenna James, llya Nikiforov, Mark Mounsey and WSOP Online Bracelet winner Michael Nugent.

Later on he got moved to an even tougher table with online crusher Jans “Graftekkel” Arends having position on him.

His stack dwindled down to 25 big blinds and Lars Liedtke lost a big coinflip to bust in 289th place out of 3,835 players for $23,200 at the 2023 WPT World Championship.

Our second player Tamas Bozsony, soon after followed Lars to the rails, when he got it in with A9 and lost against QJ.

Tamas went out in 245th place taking home a nice $24,400 score at the WPT World Championship.

Even tough busting a tournament always hurts, especially if you are so close to a life-changing score, in retrospect Tamas and Lars can be proud of what they have achieved and that they held their own against the best poker tournament players on the planet.

“An unforgettable trip both on and off the felt”

VIP-Grinders player Lars Liedtke about the 2023 WPT World Championship:

“I’ve been to many poker events in my life, but the 2023 WPT World Championship was one of the best. Organization was flawless and the Wynn simply is the perfect location and the best poker room in Las Vegas. In addition to that, shoutout to WPT Global, who have been amazing hosts and made this an unforgettable trip both on and off the felt.”
