Ryan Hoenig has achieved the remarkable feat of going heads-up in five consecutive WPT events, and winning the last three!
The impressive streak took place at the 2024 Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown, where plenty of strong fields lined up to compete.
Hoenig’s journey so far at the South Florida casino saw him arrive for the series scheduled from April 3 – 23 and have an almost perfect run from April 5 through 13.
It also wasn’t just five heads-up results in a row, but an amazing seven final tables.
It’s also interesting to note that six out of these seven cashes have come in a mixed games format. Only a single one was from the cadillac of poker — NL hold’em.
The prize money from this run amounts to $62,200, bringing Hoenig’s career total up to $543,021.
Hoenig’s poker career, as documented in the Hendon Mob Poker Database, reveals a player who has steadily climbed the ranks since his first registered live tournament cash in February 2020.

After scoring his first WSOP cashes in 2022, Hoenig followed up with six more in 2023, including a cool $ 369,972 for second place in the $ 10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship.
