Phil Hellmuth has blocked Daniel Negreanu on Twitter after the latter berated him for an outburst on the televised PGT Heads-Up Showdown against Eric Persson.
Daniel Negreanu Berates Phil Hellmuth on Twitter – Hellmuth Blocks Him
Embarrassing Phil even for you!
For decades you have ruthlessly berated people at the table, and now one guy (Persson) gives you a taste of your own medicine and you cry like a child
No one in poker history is more deserving of behavior penalties than you pic.twitter.com/vam94af2Pi

Phil Hellmuth was paired up against Eric Persson, the CEO of Maverick Gaming, who was deliberately trying to rile him every time he lost a pot with excessive laughing.
Obviously knowing exactly how Hellmuth is likely to react this the plan was to continue until one of the infamous rants came about.
Surely Phil Hellmuth wouldn’t complain too much given his own history at the table?
Rough day for me! My opponent gave me the double bird, and was out of line w his verbal attacks, but then, I engaged (I’m sure @DougPolkVids can find a clip making me look bad). I should have been the better man, taken the abuse, and found a way to win our match… #POSITIVITY pic.twitter.com/Dbh6UZYmOO

Phil Hellmuth Has Another Meltdown and Calls for Penalty on Eric Persson
After calling Eric Persson one of the most obnoxious opponents he has ever had to face, Hellmuth called the floor and demanded some kind of “protection.” Laughable right?
Phil Hellmuth has berated players with the most terrible manners possible over the last three decades without any hint of punishment due to his status. Why should Eric Persson face a penalty for behaving in the same way?
We have to say that Eric Persson’s plan worked to perfection, exactly as he intended.
Persson eventually won the match after getting his pocket rockets all-in pre-flop, giving Phil Hellmuth another reason to storm off and complain.
“I am asking for some protection. Give him a penalty!”

Daniel Negreanu Says Phil Hellmuth Can’t Take a Taste of his Own Medicine
Phil Hellmuth doesn’t seem to like people telling him the truth. It wasn’t only Daniel Negreanu that found himself blocked by him on Twitter, Hellmuth claims to have blocked a thousand people.
Daniel Negreanu says it is embarrassing that after so many years of ruthlessly berating people at the table he “cries like a child after a taste of his own medicine.
He added that no player in all of poker history is more deserving of a penalty for poor behaviour.
Surprisingly, the Twitter threads were still full of people defending Phil Hellmuth. In many fan’s eyes, he can do no wrong regardless of how many clips we see online showing that he is no innocent victim.
