First up was a question about how players move such insane amounts of money for the super high tournaments. The answer was simply wiring the money to the casino or doing a currency swap with a player from that region while at home.
Holz then gives a nice explanation about when and how he realised that poker was actually a potential career for him.
And just to show that genius level players are fallible too, he admits that he busted his bankroll when about to make the move.
Artur Martirosian, Michael Addamo, and Stephen Chidwick are the three players Fedor Holz doesn’t want to find at his table wielding a large stack. The last two names won’t be a shock to anybody who follows tournament poker.
It also won’t be a surprise to hear that the one thing Holz would change about poker is to make it faster.
Fedor Holz Couldn’t Stay Retired with So Many Great Games Running
After retiring from the professional game in 2017 after a sick run that earned him more than $30 million, Fedor Holz couldn’t resist returning during the Covid-19 pandemic as he had too much time on his hands and the games were great.
He then revisits his early days and attributes his success to surrounding himself with the right people.
The most interesting question of the video was: which poker pro would he like to challenge to a game of chess boxing.
Daniel Negreanu was the first name suggested, saying it would be fun. That said, he admits that the Canadian is much fitter than he is and their chess playing strengths are similar.
Mikita Badziakouski was another suggestion but Holz also admitted that he is the underdog at boxing.
