David Einhorn Busts in Spectacular Fashion on First Hand of $500K Triton Invitational

David Einhorn has dusted a whopping $500,000 in a single hand after busting out of the Triton Invitational on the very first hand.

The WSOP Paradise series has partnered with the Triton Super High Roller Series to give us a pair of exciting tournaments in addition to the bracelet events.

This tournament features a unique format where each player teams up with a poker professional, and they both buy in for $500,000 each.

The event kicked off with a lot of anticipation, attracting 74 players organised into 37 pairs.

David Einhorn Busts in a Dramatic First Hand

The action started off explosively on the very first hand of the tournament.

In a high-stakes showdown, David Einhorn, an invitee, faced off against Jared Bleznick.

The hand unfolded quickly with Sinan Unlu opening to 7,000 and Bleznick responded with a three-bet to 25,000, holding A♠ A♦

Einhorn then came over the top, re-raising to 77,000 with A♣ K♦ in the small blind.

Unlu folded and Bleznick, undeterred, ups the bet to 225,000.

Now, with the blinds still at only 2,000/3,000/3,000, Einhorn decides that his ace-king is still likely best and jams the rest of his stack in with Bleznick snap-calling.

The flop came down 8♠ K♣ 2♣, giving Einhorn some additional equity with his pair of kings and backdoor flush draw, but it was still a long shot.

The turn was the 8♥ leaving only two kings in the deck to avoid a catastrophe.

Sadly for Einhorn, the river was the 7♠ and he was out of his dream event, which was rather an expensive afternoon out.

Jared Bleznick is on somewhat of a roll, right now. Only this week we witnessed him beat Poker Hall of Famer Patrik Antonius three nil in High Stakes Duel 5.

He also won his first WSOP gold bracelet this summer in the $50,000 High Roller event.

This dramatic start to the WSOP Paradise Triton Million bodes well for the rest of the WSOP Paradise series where we expect to see incredible action over the next couple of weeks.

Check back in later with us for a full recap of Day 1 of the Triton Invitational.
