Doug Polk just sent out some rather controversial tweets regarding vegans and sparked a heated debate and provoked some funny reactions.
I always hear about how healthy and super strong vegans are, but then in real life if you need help loading a truck there's approximately 0 people calling their vegan friend

Doug Polk vs. vegans
After announcing on Twitter that he would be leaving Las Vegas, it seems like Doug Polk might need some of his friends to give a helping hand when loading the truck.
It seems like Doug Polk is not afraid to publicly speak his mind, even after getting blocked on Twitter by poker legend Doyle Brunson.
However, vegans are apparently not amongst the first group of people that he would call when it comes to the occasion.
Some people certainly agreed with Polk’s opinion:
People don’t call their vegan friend to load a truck because they don’t want to hear about how they are vegan the entire time they load the truck

But some Twitter users even assumed that Polk was about to challenge Daniel Negreanu to an athletic competition:
Earlier you tweeted about lacking foot speed, now you are tweeting about vegans being weak…. Is this a way of challenging Daniel to an athletic competition?

While Polk always hears about vegans being extremely healthy and very strong he claimed that nobody would actually be calling his vegan friends to come over to assist with manual labor.
Vegans are just as strong as people that eat meat, look at how much protein is in 3 pounds of Kale

Even though that take might be controversial, Doug Polk actually made a good point and states that both, vegans and people who eat meat are equally strong.
Shaun Deeb also replied that there was a certain group of people that nobody would like to want to call when they needed help moving:
Thankfully they also don’t call their fat friend no one wants to see my crack lifting up boxes

Certainly, there are some extreme examples on both sides and that’s exactly what he meant:
But what about the 6 strong fitness vegans I know?!
Sure. But what about the 99% of power athletes that are not vegan.

The majority of people on Twitter agreed with Polk, some users pointed out that replacing meat is not as difficult as you may think.
Furthermore, eating meat can also be harmful to humans, and therefore it’s obviously important to keep a decent balance.

Turning vegan for ethical reasons certainly makes sense according to Polk. However, eating meat was an integral part of human evolution:
Honestly I get being vegan for ethical reasons. But humans evolved and became stronger by the nutrients of eating meat. Please spare me how its actually better to eat carrots.
