How did the Cate Hall and Mike Dentale conflict start?

The starting spark in this heated argument was struck by a tricky tournament spot. Interesting enough, the hand wasn’t even played between Cate Hall and Mike Dentale.

It was day 3 of the World Poker Tour Five Diamond World Poker Classic Main Event when Cate Hall and Barry Hutter played a huge pot. After some pre-flop aggression, Barry Hutter shoved with his pair of Jacks and Cate Hall called with her AT. The hand left Cate Hall short and it didn’t take long before she busted.

The hand was not exactly a standard spot. You can read the action at the .

But even before the WTP crew posted the update to the forementioned page, Cate Hall twitted about the hand.

The tweet started a calm conversation, between Cate Hall and  Brian Reinert, about the hand.

Beefy tweets came to an end when the mediator of the argument, Matt Glantz, took matters in his own hands and handled the logistics for the Heads Up match.

As far as we have been told, the exact dates are not yet set, but there are some interesting facts about the match that ware shared by the involved parties.

Cate Hall and Mike Dentale will battle for their bankrolls and probably their pride in best-of-there $25/$50 $10,000 matches.

The match will take place at SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, sometime in March, 2017! It will be filmed by Poker Night in America and probably streamed online.

The poker world was amused

Many of pokers big names followed and commented on the argument. Joe Ingram captured his investigation in an amusing video you can watch below.
