Tsoukernik’s “poker island” in the Czech Republic has long been the go-to place for highstakes cash games, the European version of High Stakes Poker or Hustler Casino Live, depending on who’s available.
This month, with the WSOP in town, the likes of Paul Phua, Elton Tsang and Bertrand “ElkY” Grospelier have been plying their skills, with Phua fresh off a gold bracelet win in the €25k High Roller.
Phua pocketed €482,433 for his win, but it’s not clear if he handed that over to Tony G in the cash game battles, or whether it was Loose Leon’s blind potting that gave him his €million payday.
