About the Slovenian Poker Tour (SPT)

As the name implies the Slovenian Poker Tour (SPT) is the biggest live tournament series in Slovenia.

It’s last stop took place in Casino Perla in Nova Gorica. Each stop consists of four tournaments. Highlight is of course the €120 Main Event with €20,000 guaranteed.

Facts and Figures of our Live Sponsorship

  • Event: Slovenian Poker Tour Main Event
  • Buy-in: €120
  • Entries: 209
  • Prize pool: €19.750
  • Sponsored Players: 2

We sponsored two players for the SPT Main Event. Our Team was led by the head of VIP-Grinders Slovenia Jan “FlopdWorld” Martinsek.

Jan is a cash game pro and you might know him from the VIP-Grinders Twitch channel, where he is streaming NL100 every Thursday from 8 to 11 pm CET.

On the first day Jan played this crazy cooler hand:

Aces vs Kings vs Queens you don’t get to see every day. Good when you have the aces and they hold 🙂

Jan won a huge pot, but in the second part of the day he lost half his stack, when he ran AK into Aces.

The tournament had a turbo structure, so he didn’t have many big blinds left. Jan pushed them with Pocket Nines lost against Queens and busted before the end of Day 1.

After that Jan also played the side event called SPT Mini with a Buy-In of €42 and 313 entries, but didn’t make it into the money.
