There are only four players left and the blinds are already high with 75,000/150,000 and a 150,000 Big Blind Ante. Joey Weisman is massive chip leader with more than four times as many chips than Michael Wang in second place.

Poker Hand of the Week Action

Preflop:

Michael Wang picks up QQ Under The Gun and open-raises to 300,000. Weisman, who has everybody covered, looks at AJ in the small blind and shoves All-In.

Rodriguez gets out of the way and Wang snap-calls being a 68% favourite. Pot Size: 5,350,000

Runout:

Flop:

The flop of 7♣K♦10♥ gives Joey a gutshot and four more outs.

Turn:

The 10♦ on the turn is one of the most interesting cards in the deck as Weisman picks up a Royal Flush Draw. His odds increase to 27% to win the hand.

River:

The Q♦ on the river completes the Runner-Runner Royal Flush! The table is in disbelief and Joey Weisman adds the chips of the second biggest stack at the table and now has almost two thirds of the chips in play.

Poker Hand of the Week Analysis

To be honest, we picked this hand because of its insane runout as poker strategy wise there is not much to analyse.

Pocket Queens are an automatic raise and since we are only 4-handed AJs is an easy reshove from the small blind with effective stack size being only 15 big blinds.

Wang obviously snaps and then can’t do anything, but to watch Joey Weisman hit a Runner-Runner Full House on him.

Poker Hand of the Week Conclusion

Hitting a Royal Flush is already really lucky as the probability to get a Royal Flush is only 0.000154% with odds of 649,739 : 1.

However, hitting Runner-Runner Royal Flush in a preflop All-In as chip leader against the second biggest stack at the table makes this hand the sickest runout in poker history!

Joey Weisman couldn’t do any wrong on that day and went on to win the first-ever BetMGM Poker Championship Main Event for $224,236.
