Jens Knossalla aka “Knossi” breaks Twitch poker record with 58,416 viewers

German entertainer Jens Knossalla aka “Knossi” sets a new Twitch Poker viewer record

Poker has been really popular on Twitch.tv for a long time. However, German streamer Jens Knossalla aka “Knossi” took it to another level and set a new viewer count world record.

Jens "Knossi" Knossalla breaks Twitch poker record with 58,416 viewers

Twitch.tv is the world’s largest and most popular streaming platform for gamers. While computer games have been the most popular category for a long time, poker has also been present there as well.

Dutch professional poker player Lex Veldhuis has been streaming poker for quite a while and held the previous Twitch poker record.

He set the record during the SCOOP $10,000 Main Event with a prize pool of more than $1 million going to the winner. Lex had 58,416 viewers and crushed his own previously set record of 32,289 viewers.

Veldhuis set the record roughly a month ago, but it didn’t take too long for “Knossi” to take over the top spot.

New world record by Knossi

While Lex Veldhuis was actually playing and streaming simultaneously, Knossalla was actually commentating and motivating his buddy during the Stadium Series.

“Knüppel” was Knossi’s first regular viewer on Twitch and is also one of the moderators of his channel. He got a free ticket for the event and made a deep run.

Subsequently, they have managed to attract almost 92,000 viewers on Monday.

The action was pretty intense at this point and even Joey Ingram was impressed by Knossi’s hype-man skills.

Knossala’s friend came 2nd in the tournament and won $1117,435. The tag-team almost doubled the previous world record viewer count and therefore you might ask yourself: how was he able to do it?

Knossi is not just a poker streamer on Twitch. He is also streaming various games, online slots, he is hosting his own talk show on Twitch and regularly invites German celebrities to join his stream.

Moreover, he is also running real-life live events, too – his last 72-hour event at a lake in Germany even had more than 300,000 viewers on Twitch.tv at peak hours.

Jens Knossalla has become extremely popular in Germany and also has a Youtube channel with more than a million subscribers.

Moreover, he participated in multiple German TV shows and also has more than a million fans on Instagram.

He is also probably one of the most outgoing and extrovert characters you will be able to find on Twitch – Joey Ingram certainly approves that.

During his stream poker was booming on Twitch and crossed the 100,000 viewer mark.

Even though the event is over, it is highly likely that Knossi and his friend will keep streaming poker on Twitch. Furthermore, more people might actually start streaming poker on Twitch which could make the game more attractive to new players as well.

However, Daniel Negreanu will probably not be part of the boom after he got permanently banned from the platform.
