The delicacy of this subject has sent poker Twitter into a minor meltdown over the last couple of days, with Kitty Kuo facing abuse for her perceived insensitivity.

The Taiwanese pro was responding to a series of misdeals in the 2022 WSOP $5,000 Six-Max event where Keeton’s assistant, in this case his father, was accidently dealt into the hand.

Kuo requested to the floor that Cleeton Snr be re-seated behind his son to prevent any further delays in play but was told that this was not going to happen.

Kitty Kuo Apologises and Offer to Donate 3% of her Main Event Action

Poker is one of the most inclusive games/sports in the world today and for that reason it is understandable why there has been such an outcry. But we should not be too hard on Kitty Kuo who was simply trying to solve an issue at the table.

We’re sure that she did not mean to cause any offense and anyway she was quick to apologise regardless, making an offer to give K.L. Cleeton 3% of her Main Event action.

Cleeton accepted the apology and requested that any donation be sent to Able Gamers, a charity that fosters inclusive communities and combats social isolation for people with disabilities.

K.L. Cleeton has become one of the most popular characters in poker over the last couple of years. His attitude to life is incredible, especially given the difficulties he faces on a daily basis.

He is truly inspirational and can now hopefully get back to concentrating on performing at his best at the 2022 WSOP. Cleeton has already cashed in two events this month, one online, and must be feeling confident for the remainder of the series. We wish him luck.
