Exodus944 Claims PartyPoker Confiscated $700,000 Over Forged Documents

A partypoker SPINS grinder called Exodus944 claims that the online poker site has confiscated over $700,000 amid claims of forged documents.

“Exodus944” took to the 2plus2 News, Views and Gossip forum to complain about his treatment at the hands of the Entain-owned online poker site.

He accuses them of seizing the massive windfall without proof of wrongdoing, reneging on an offer and refusing to redistribute the funds.

The Romanian player moved to Ireland, playing on partypoker as part of the Team651 stable and focusing on higher stakes SPINS games.

His proof of residence was accepted at the time, and he deposited close to $100,000 between July 2021 and October 2022.

Hitting the $1,000,000 SPINS Jackpot

The poker player ‘dream come true’ scenario arrived on 5th October 2022 when “Exodus944” won the $1,000,000 jackpot on a $100 Spins game.

Defeating his two rivals – an Argentinian player and a UK player, both of whom won $100,000 each – the lucky winner slowed down his online play and withdrew it in small amounts.

“By 14th February 2023 I had withdrawn $300,000 and had approximately $707,000 left in my Party Poker account, which I was intending to withdraw,” relates the now-unhappy punter.

Screwed on Valentine’s Day

With $300,000 going to his stable, he recalls, “The remaining $707,000 was mine,” and admits: “at the time, I considered Partypoker was probably a safer place to keep my winnings than a bank or online wallet.”

That trust was misplaced, however, as he found out on Valentine’s Day exactly one year ago.

“On or shortly after 14th February 2023 I discovered that my account was locked and inaccessible.”

Deal or No Deal?

What follows next was a Kafka-esque situation, Entain allegedly refusing to provide proof of wrongdoing, asking for then rejecting proof of residence, and then offering then reneging on a deal.

“… Entain proposed a deal, they would pay out my balance, minus $100,000 which they wished to keep, to add to their P&L. I reluctantly accepted the proposal, after all $607,000 is better than $0.

“Shortly after accepting I was told (via my Affiliate) that the offer was being withdrawn. I suspect if at that stage I had gone back to Entain and offered a 50/50 split, they would have accepted.”

Legal action

With Entain having apparently acted within their T&Cs, however unfair to the player, “Exodus944” is taking legal action and wants to warn other players.

“This is a gambling giant that, once it realised I had stopped playing, decided there was no revenue opportunity from my balance and decided to act – regardless of the impact it was going to have on my mental health and well-being.”

“For me, the next steps are to commence legal action against Entain… for other players, your next steps should be to withdraw funds from all Entain brands, you have hundreds of other places to play or gamble, take your business to somewhere else.”

Partypoker have yet to respond publicly to the claims.
