Allen Kessler ridicules himself again by calling Graftekkel’s tournament results “Years of Nothingness”

Allen Kessler has doubled down on his dissing of online tournament crusher Jens “Graftekkel” Arends even after the Dutch pro smashed the live circuit this week by winning more than $1,300,000!

Allen Kessler ridicules himself again by calling Graftekkel's tournament results "Years of Nothingness"

Kessler famously berated Gratekkel on Twitter last year after being KO’d by him in the WSOP Europe 6-max in Rozvadov:

“And out of the 6 max. Loser Euro guy in bb called off more than half his stack pre flop to my sb shove with Q8 off. I said “good call” and got up before board even came out. Really tilting way to bust.”

Kessler is doing this after Graftekkel lands a $921,178 live score at Triton Poker Vietnam!

The “loser guy” was playing the Triton Poker Vietnam Super High Roller Series this week and landed a $406,000 score in the $15k and then added a career-best $921,178 in the $30k just a few days later.

The events, both with about 170 entries, included the likes of LLinusLLove, Nick Petrangelo, Adrian Mateos, Erik Seidel, Michael Addamo, Sam Greenwood, and Stephen Chidwick – basically a who’s who of the world’s elite poker pros.

Alex Theologis joked: “Everyone knows Triton results don’t count, just like online,” poking fun at Kessler’s unwillingness to accept online results as being a fair indication of a player’s ability.

Kessler replied with the typically back-handed compliment: “If it’s a live event it counts. He was due for a score after several years of nothingness…”

Benny Glaser was first to respond to Kessler’s embarrassing tweet, posting: “Lol. Fucking hell, Allen. Just know when to stop.”

Arends, who took last year’s abuse from Kessler very well, continued to find the situation amusing, tweeting: “Sorry Allen, but I don’t trust Hendon Mob.”

Sarcasm, in fact most forms of humour, seem to bypass Kessler like a new road around a ghost town, and he responded with the typical claim of someone who doesn’t even play online:

That mirrored his lines from last year, when he claimed: “No proof of who is actually playing or what tools they are using are my two main concerns. … Lol so the guy is an online crusher. No proof it’s even him that plays or doesn’t have assistance.”

Again, as with last year’s comments, Kessler was ploughing a lone furrow, almost every comment urging him to stop digging a deeper and even more embarrassing hole.

Arends Vietnam victory, worth more than $920k, already dwarfs Kessler’s best score of $276,485 and it would be interesting to see how long it would take the Groningen pro to top Kessler’s lifetime winnings of $4,159,728.

With Arends already on $1,874,621 and thinking of playing more live events, the clever money would be on a couple of years tops. Others felt they could top Kessler’s numbers too.
