WSOP 2022 – Everything you need to know about the 2022 World Series of Poker
Aim of this page is to provide the most comprehensive information about the World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as its biggest sub-series such as the WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) and the WSOP Europe (WSOPE).
We will answer all the questions including the place, date, schedule and highlight events of the WSOP 2022 below.
Will there be a WSOP in 2022?
Yes, there will be a WSOP in 2022 and it will take place in a new location. Following a 17-year run at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino, the WSOP is moving to the Strip for the first time ever.
It will take place at Bally’s, which currently is in the process of being rebranded as Horseshoe, and Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino from May 31st to July 19th, 2022.
Where will 2022 WSOP be held?
The biggest and most important poker tournament series in the world will also have a Master of Ceremonies, which is famous actor Vince Vaughn.
The new location at the Strip in the heart of Las Vegas will be a completely new and very exciting experience for poker players.
WSOP 2022: The important stuff
- Starts on Tuesday, May 31st and runs through Tuesday July 20th 2022
- Expected to be the biggest WSOP in history
- WSOP 2022 includes 88 tournaments, 21 online bracelets and a Tournament of Champions
- New venues Bally’s & Paris will provide the largest tournament capacity in WSOP’s history
- No masks nor vaccination required
- $10,000 WSOP Main Event to kick off on Sunday, July 3rd
- WSOP deepens its partnership with GGPoker and will run exclusive satellites there
- WSOP Europe 2022 returns to King’s Casino from October 12 to November 3
2022 WSOP Main Event
As every year, the Main Event will be the absolute highlight of the 2022 WSOP.
The 2022 World Series of Poker Main Event will runs from July 3 to 16 and has four starting days to choose from.
Regarding the structure, five 90-minute levels will be played on Day 1 with late registration being open until the end of level two on Day 2 (approximately 2 pm).
The field will be combined for the first time on Day 3, which takes place on Saturday, July 9th.
The 2022 WSOP Main Event Final Table is scheduled for Friday, July 15th and Saturday, July 16th, when the new Poker World Champion will be crowned.
WSOP 2022 New and Highlight Events
$500 buy-in, $5 Million Guaranteed: “The Housewarming” running from June 2-7.
Return of the Record Breakers: Each Friday and Saturday one of the flagship No-Limit Hold’em events such as The Millionaire Maker, Monster Stack or the Colossus will take place.
Mystery Bounty: PKO tournament with a massive $1,000,000 top bounty to debut.
New Tournament of Champions: From July 18 to 20 the WSOP will run a $1,000,000 Tournament of Champions freeroll open to all 88 bracelet and gold ring winners from the 2021/2022 WSOP Circuit season.
$100,000 High Roller Bounty No-Limit Hold’em: On May 31st one of the high stakes highlights will take place. There is a huge $25,000 bounty for every player you knock out of the tournament.
$25,000 Buy-In Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship: On June 2nd the WSOP’s annual heads-up championship kicks off. This year the buy-in has been increased significantly from $10,000 to $25,000.
$777 Lucky Seven’s: The name says it all! For a small buy-in of only $777, you can play for a massive guaranteed prize pool of $777,777.
Online Bracelet Events: There are a 21 online bracelet events in total with the highlights being the BIG $500, a Lucky Sevens $7,777 high roller and the signature $1,000 NLHE Online Championship.
WSOP 2022 Schedule:
WSOP Circuit (WSOPC)
The popular WSOP Circuit (WSOPC) is also back and running after an 18-month break.
To give you an idea of its importance, this is how Executive Director of the World Series of Poker, Ty Stewart describes this live poker series:
“The WSOP-C is one of our most important initiatives, allowing regional players to experience big-time poker and providing grinders a platform to earn a living.”
The 2021/2022 WSOPC season is already in full effect having kicked off on November 25th, 2021.
It consists of a whopping twenty one stops with more being added on the go.
New WSOPC stops in 2022
While most of the WSOPC stops have already been part of the series before, three new exciting stops have been added to the 2022 WSOPC schedule:
- Isle of Pompano , Pompano Beach, FL
- Turning Stone Resort Casino , Verona, NY
- Deerfoot Inn and Casino , Calgary, Alberta Canada
There are also four European WSOP Circuit stops in the 2021/2022 WSOPC season namely at Casino Barriere Le Croisette in Cannes, at Holland Casino Venlo in the Netherlands and two times at King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.

WSOP Europe 2022
The 2022 WSOP Europe (WSOPE) will once again be taking place at the fantastic King’s Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic.
The WSOP Europe 2022 will be running from Wednesday, October 12th until Thursday, November 3rd.
The WSOPE features 15 gold bracelet events, including the €10,000 WSOP Europe Main Event and a €50,000 High Roller event.
