With the World Series of Poker in Vegas dominating the headlines, it was a quieter than usual week for the highstakes online crowd. Still, 131 entries at $10k per head ensured there was plenty to play for in the weekly highroller on GGPoker.

Among the contenders for the crown come Tuesday night’s final table, Aussie crusher Michael Addamo and Swedish online legend Niklas Astedt.

The first of those was also first to bust, though, as Addamo found himself short and all-in on a draw…

Addamo: A♠ 4♠

Dafaniu: A♦ K♣

Flop: 9♣ Q♠ K♠

…but although the turn hit…

Turn: 4♦

…it wasn’t enough and the bricked river meant the end for Addammo..

River: 10♣

Other stars of the game were involved in the livestreamed final table, but for Kevin Martin and Dan ‘Jungleman’ Cates it was via the commentary box, regular host Jeff Gross taking a well-earned break.

The mysterious “Dafaniu” was enjoying a third final table in as many weeks, but could only add an 8th place finish to recent 2nd and 6th spots. Pocket fives against pocket queens was an unfair fight, Nemeth going runner-runner quads to rub it in.

Tkatschew’s deep run ended when he ran big slick into the pocket rockets of  “va11ero”, who then took out Nemeth with pocket fours against pocket treys.

Soon it was the turn of another anonymous player, “ImWoHooooooooo” playing under the Mexican flag, to deal the knock out blows.

First up, a rivered flush saw off Russia’s Aleksey “IamBusinessman” Savenkov and then  it was the turn of the most dangerous player in the field, Niklas Astedt…

ImWoHooooooooo: A♥ J♣

Astedt: 7♠ 7♦

A coinflip worth almost $40k and it didn’t end well for the Swede…

Flop: 8♥ 4♣ 6♦

Turn: A♠

River: Q♥

When “ImWoHooooooooo” turned a full house to oust Germany’s Chris Nguyen (playing out of Austria as so many online players do these days) it was heads-up for the GGMillion$ SHR title between two mystery players.

“va11ero” was facing a big chip deficit and, although they fought hard, it all came down to an incredible cooler…

“va11ero”: Q♦ 10♥

“ImWoHooooooooo”: 6♦ 8♦

Flop: 9♦ 9♠ K♠

Turn: 4♦

River: J♦

“That’s the gin card, flush and straight!” exclaimed Kevin Martin, while Jungleman could only laugh at the absurdity of it all.

“ImWohooooooooo” shoved and “va11ero” instacalled for his tournament life only to receive the bad news.
