The World Poker Tour is to make a return to the Las Vegas Strip following a three-year absence, to host the WPT Venetian Las Vegas Championship.
July 2022 marked the last time we saw the WPT circus at the luxury Strip property where 1,178 entries built a prize pool of $5,418,800 and Robert Mizrachi walked off with the $894,100 winner’s prize.
From July 11 to 17, we hope to see record attendance numbers fighting for a slice of the $4 million guarantee.
The WPT championship event will command a $5,000 entry fee but hopefully drawing not only seasoned professionals but also recreational players and qualifiers, too.
The Venetian Las Vegas has always been known for its luxury surroundings, but recent renovations have restored the property to its former glory.
The poker room has been upgraded with new hi-tech tables to elevate the player experience. As far as we’re aware, this is still the largest poker room on the iconic Las Vegas Strip at 1300 sq.m/14,000 sq.ft.
The renovations also included a new live streaming platform where final tables will be streamed to the masses.
