Boasting 35 bracelets between, Daniel Negreanu, Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth all began their 2025 WSOP campaigns today. Meanwhile, the first of this year’s 100 gold bracelets has gone to Phovieng Keokham.

For Daniel Negreanu, WSOP time is a chance to improve on his seven bracelets while simultaneously planning to vlog all 50 days of his Vegas campaign.
Today ‘Kid Poker’ jumped into Event 5: $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha and found himself having to rebuy early when his aces got cracked…
Forman: 8♣ 7♦ 5♣ 4♣
Negreanu: :A♥ A♦ 9♣ 4♥
Flop: 6♠ 5♦ 2♥
Forman called Negreanu’s 3-bet to be all-in…
Turn: 7♥
That gave Forman the straight and Negreanu the nut flush draw…
River: 8♠
…and the river brick had Negreanu digging in his pockets for another $5k buy-in.
While Negreanu was playing 4 cards, both Phil Hellmuth and Phil Ivey were trying their luck in Event 3: $5,000 Eight Handed NL Hold’em.
Ivey found himself in a very interesting spot when Justin Zaki tabled his flush before Ivey had responded to his $10k bet!
Phil Ivey hasn't acted yet in Event #3: $5,000 8-Handed No-Limit Hold’em after flopping trip Jacks when Justin Zaki flips his cards over to show a rivered flush.

The First Bracelet of 2025!
While the rich and famous of the poker world play their games, the first bracelet of the 2025 World Series of Poker was being won by Phovieng Keokham.

Keokham was among 914 entrants to the traditional WSOP opener (despite being event #2 on the schedule) the $500 buy-in Industry Employees No-Limit Hold’em tournament.
The bubble had burst to end day 1 and the 138 who returned for day 2 had locked up a double-your-money $1,006 min. cash.
Despite having his aces cracked at the final table by Pedro Green, Keokham remarkably picked them up again and this time won to send Green out in 6th spot.
Eventually, Keokham found himself heads-up against Christopher Zollo and picked off a pre-flop 4-bet bluff jam to close out the win…
Zollo: 9♦ 6♠
Keokham: A♦ Q♣
Flop: 9♠ 10♠ 4♦
Turn: Q♥
River: 2♣
