Methodology

  • VIP Grinders commissioned this research, exploring the social media presence of tennis players.
  • Firstly, a seed list of the top 20 female and male Tennis players was created, pulling data from ATP and WTA rankings.
  • Modash platform (https://www.modash.io/) was used to create a social media presence profile for each player in the list, using the following metrics: total followers, engagement rates, and the quantity of fake followers.
  • Missing from the dataset were social media metrics for one player, Diana Shnaider. Hence, this player was subsequently removed from the overall rating calculation.
  • The data was collected on 20/05/2025 and is accurate as of then.
  • The full dataset is available here.
