The winner of 21 Circuit rings appeared to have been taking a one-sided beating from a larger man before the two sides were separated.
Unsurprisingly, social media comments on the scrap mostly looked to be taking some pleasure at the controversial character getting thumped.
For the last decade, Maurice Hawkins has provided the poker media one scandal after another, mostly regarding backing deals gone wrong with alleged unscrupulous behaviour.
Now, it appears like the American has found out what many think about him.
Maurice Hawkins Gets His Comeuppance
This private cash game took place in Palm Beach County, Florida, and someone who was present spoke to PokerNews to explain how Hawkins was typically running his mouth, including telling him how good of a boxer he is.
The player accused of assault, a man called Eugene, is said to have argued about the validity of “African-American” being a nationality. Hawkins responded by offering to box about it; a decision he later regretted.

The anonymous player who spoke to PokerNews said that Eugene marched from seat 2 to seat 7 and piled into Hawkins — how exactly is this a sneak attack?
