Jason Koon is continuing his one-man domination of the Triton Super High Roller Series after taking down the final event of the trip to Montenegro.

Koon extended his Triton titles record to 12 following his victory in Event #17 $30,000 PLO Bounty Quattro. This win earned him $385,176, including bounties. Not a lot considering his still growing career total but welcome nonetheless.
This closing event went on until the early hours of the morning as Koon and his good friend Seth Davies played heads-up for the trophy before the circus moved onto Las Vegas for the 2025 WSOP.
This is the second win of the Montenegro trip for Koon, ending a winless 2024 that came right after the hottest year possible in 2023.
That season was simply immense, even by Koon’s loft standards. A total of six wins in Triton events populated by the best poker tournament players in the world.
To put that into perspective: Koon has 12 Triton titles now, and Bryn Kenney, Mikita Badziakouski, Danny Tang, and Phil Ivey are chasing him with five each.
Koon was characteristically positive after sealing the second win this week against a good friend:
“It’s so hard to keep it together in this tournament. Two weeks of this stuff melts your brain. I definitely don’t take it for granted. My goal is to keep myself in check, make sure I’m enjoying playing. The past couple of years I’ve made a huge effort just to sit here and embrace.”

Action Recap
The final event in a Triton series is always a lot more laid back than the others. This one even more so apparently as top-notch wine was being handed around the tables.
Phil Ivey was the guy to burst the money bubble in ninth place, leaving just one more bustout needed to form the seven-man final table. Santhosh Suvarna was the unlucky soul to pick up that particular honour.
Three all-ins got called in the first few minutes, with two of them three-way, but nobody busted. It didn’t take long, however, because once Artur Maritosian left the stage the other quickly followed.
Nacho Barbero looked like he might get a roll start but it was a false dawn and he headed to the rail after losing his chips as an 80% favourite.

Andrew Leathem and Jonas Kronwitter were next, and before we knew it Gergo Nagy was on his way home to leave us with a tidy heads-up battle to watch.
Seth Davies had been the short stack for most of the final table and more, and yet somehow here he was with his great friend Jason Koon, heads-up for another Triton title. Davies had actually picked up his maiden Triton win only a fortnight ago.
Just like when Koon played Ben Tollerene heads-up this week, a deal between friends was immediately agreed. Davies would take $296,824 and Koon would get $288,176. All that was left to fight over was the trophy and $17,000.
Sadly, it would only last a few hands before Koon had A♦ 7♦6♦ 5♠ all-in against Davies’ A♠ J♠ 10♥ 9♦.
The board ran out 2♦ 5♥ 8♦ 7♥ K♦ and Koon created some more history.
