How to Use This Calculator
Enter the current pot size before your opponent’s bet in the first field. This is the total amount already in the middle from previous streets, blinds, and any prior action.
In the second field, enter your opponent’s bet size. The calculator instantly outputs four values: total pot after your call, pot odds as a ratio, pot odds as a percentage, and the minimum equity your hand needs to make calling profitable.
Compare the Required Equity output to your hand’s actual equity using the outs-to-equity chart below. If your hand equity is higher than the required number, calling is +EV. If it’s lower, fold.

FAQs
How do I use a pot odds calculator during a game?
Enter the pot size before your opponent bets, then enter their bet amount. The calculator shows the minimum equity your hand needs to make calling profitable. Compare that number to the outs-to-equity chart above. If your hand equity is higher, call. If it’s lower, fold.
What is the Rule of 2 and 4?
The Rule of 2 and 4 is a shortcut for estimating equity from outs. Multiply your outs by 4 on the flop (two cards to come) or by 2 on the turn (one card to come). For example, a flush draw with 9 outs on the flop gives roughly 9 × 4 = 36% equity. On the turn, 9 × 2 = 18%. These are approximations. For exact numbers, refer to the outs-to-equity table above.
How do pot odds relate to outs?
Outs tell you how many cards improve your hand. Pot odds tell you how much equity you need to call profitably. You connect them by converting outs to equity (using the Rule of 2 and 4 or the reference chart) and comparing that equity to the Required Equity output from the calculator. If your outs give you more equity than the pot odds demand, the call is +EV.
