The other interesting event running right now is Event #51: $25,000 High Roller Pot-Limit Omaha where Australia’s Najeem Ajez currently leads the way in a field littered with big names.

And, of course, there were some bracelet wins as well.

Klemens Roiter Beats David Uvaydov Heads-Up to win the $1,500 Monster Stack

Klemens Roiter bagged a nice $1,204,457 after taking down Event #37: $1,500 MONSTER STACK.

The Austrian battled his way through a huge field of 9,920 entrants to grab glory in one of the most popular events on the schedule.

But it was his fierce fight against David Uvaydov that made his performance and won him the lion’s share of the $13,148,390 prize pool.

In his winner’s interview, he said:

“I cannot describe how good it feels after I’ve tried so long. It’s a big dream come true, to be honest. It’s such a massive field, hard to describe, I can’t even grasp. I think it will need some days.”

Router pointed out that the heads-up match started off really bad for him but even after he got going the lead was switching from one player to another.

The stress when he was down to only ten big blinds was palpable, lifted only when two double-ups evened out the stacks. It was at this point he thought he could win it.

After the victory was complet, Router was asked if playing Event #20: $1,500 SHOOTOUT was good preparation, which obviously it was.

“I think so, yeah, it helped a little bit. It was a four-hour heads-up match in the shootout. I think it was good to have good preparation.”

Jason Daly Takes Down $2,500 Omaha/Stud Hi-Lo

Jason Daly won his second WSOP bracelet in Event #47: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better; Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better after seeing off Phil Hellmuth’s charge for a record 18th bracelet.

The American comfortably dealt with his last four opponents, knocking them all out personally on the way to collecting a $244,674 prize.

Jon Kyte — runner-up in this event last year — and Tobias Hausen were eliminated in fifth and fourth places. This left only Phil Hellmuth and Kevin Choi in the way of Daly’s second WSOP bracelet.

With the Poker Brat so close to another bracelet, there’s no doubt where everyone’s attention was. But that didn’t break Daly’s stride one little bit.

Hellmuth was unfortunate enough to lose to a runner-runner straight and then only minutes later Choi had also been dispatched.

Tyler Patterson Wins $3K 6-Handed NLHE for $574K

The other win of the night was Tyler Patterson who was the last man standing in Event #49: $3,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold’em.

He banked $574,223 for the win after seeing off a field of 1,421 entries and picked up his second bracelet 11 years after winning the first in the $1,500 Pot Limit Omaha Hi/Lo.

Although a pro for almost two decades, Patterson no longer works on his game, apparently happy to maintain his current level. He did add, however, that in the early days he would devour every poker book he could lay his hands on.

He also deserves plenty of credit for overcoming Matthew Wantman, a hardened pro who has more than $8 million in live tournament winnings.

Can Brian Rast Overcome Andrew Yeh for Seventh Bracelet?

The finale of Event #50: $10,000 Razz Championship will be one to watch as Brian Rast attempts to overcome Andrew Yeh with a 3-1 deficit.

The runner-up will walk away with $204,423 as compensation while $306,664 awaits the winner. But that said, both players will only be focussed on the bracelet and the title.

We’re looking forward to this one.
