Patrik Antonius' Net Worth

Patrik Antonius’ net worth is not publicly confirmed. Credible estimates place it between $20 million and $35 million in 2026, with outliers stretching to $50 million. He has never confirmed a figure, and privacy about money has been part of his make-up since the Full Tilt days.

What we can do is break down what’s verifiable, show where the popular estimates come from, and explain why they disagree so widely.

Key distinction: “Career earnings” and “net worth” are different things. Earnings are gross payouts before buy-ins, expenses and staking splits. Net worth factors in debts, investments, two decades of private cash games and business ventures like FLOP.

Net worth estimates and why they vary

Published figures differ wildly because every outlet uses a different method, and most disclose none at all. These are the estimates in circulation, by named source:

  • SoMuchPoker (2026): $20M to $35M, built up from verified earnings
  • 888poker (2023): as high as $25 million
  • casinochecking.com: $30 million
  • pokernetworth.com: $30M to $50M
  • HighStakesDB (2020, historical): around $15 million

A $5 million figure from celebrity biography sites still circulates from late 2023. It is an outdated outlier built on nothing, and we reject it. Nobody outside Antonius’ inner circle knows the real number.

We use $20M to $35M as a defensible range, anchored to the verified figures below, while acknowledging no figure is confirmed.

What we can verify: tracked earnings

Three tracked tiers give the estimate its floor.

TierFigureSource
Live tournament earnings$34,675,694 (156 cashes)Hendon Mob, July 2026
Full Tilt online profit$11.3M real name; $17,807,406 all accountsUpswing Poker, 2020
Televised cash game profit$2,417,937Highroll Poker, May 2026

Those figures are gross payouts or tracked profit, not bankroll. Tournament cashes arrive before buy-ins, expenses and any staking splits, and the Full Tilt era ended over a decade ago. The broadcast figure covers 146 televised sessions only; private games dwarf that sample.

Why the real number stays out of reach

Five factors keep his real balance sheet beyond any outside audit:

  • Private cash games: Macau, Monte Carlo and Vegas sessions with no public reporting
  • Staking and backing: splits on six-figure buy-ins are never disclosed
  • Legal settlements and debts: confidential where they exist at all
  • Sponsorship income: WePoker ambassador terms are private
  • Business ventures: FLOP revenue and investment returns are unknown

Away from the felt, Antonius is the face of First Land of Poker (FLOP), a live-poker app built by WeOpt that helps players find games and rooms manage them.

Since July 2025 he has also served WePoker as ambassador and security advisor, alongside Phil Ivey and Kristen Foxen. The Asia-facing room is not available in Europe or the US, and his terms for the role are private.

Early Career: From Tennis Courts to Poker Tables

Patrik Antonius was born in Helsinki on 13 December 1980 and raised in Hakunila in Vantaa. Cards came late. His teenage years belonged to sport, and to tennis above all.

He was a promising junior with genuine ambitions in the game. A severe back injury at 15 derailed that path, and some accounts mention a second injury later on. Either way, competitive tennis was finished before it properly began.

Was Patrik Antonius a professional tennis player?

No. Antonius was a talented junior rather than a ranked professional, and the back injury ended any prospect of a pro career. Claims that he ranked among the world’s top 50 appear in a single sponsor biography and are unconfirmed, so we don’t repeat them.

What followed was a scattergun few years of ordinary work while poker crept in at the edges:

  • Model: the looks that later earned him the 'Brad Pitt of poker' tag
  • Tennis coach: staying close to the sport injury took away
  • Waiter: restaurant shifts to pay the bills
  • Door-to-door sales: the least glamorous line on the pre-poker CV

The poker education came through Marcel Luske and his ‘Circle of Outlaws’ group of up-and-coming players. Jennifer Harman later advised him as the stakes climbed. By 2005 the apprenticeship was over, and the live circuit found out fast.

Tournament Career and the $5.13M Triton Triumph

Antonius tops Finland’s all-time money list, and the record behind it spans two full decades, from the European boom of 2005 to the super high roller era. Few careers in poker have aged this well.

The breakout came fast. He won the EPT Baden Main Event in October 2005 for €288,180, beating Gunnar Ostebrod heads-up, weeks after finishing third in the EPT Barcelona Main Event. He closed that year with $1,046,470 for second at the WPT Five Diamond.

Top five career cashes

Four of his five biggest scores have come since 2023. All figures below are tracked Hendon Mob results.

5$1,697,0004th$100K NLH Main Event, Triton JejuMar 2024

Two footnotes matter. Some outlets list the Macau runner-up prize as $3,153,551, a currency rounding difference on the same result. And the April 2024 Monte Carlo win came in the €100,000 EPT high roller, not the Main Event: it is not a second EPT Main Event title.

The $5.13M Triton Invitational crown

The career best arrived in November 2024 in the Salle des Étoiles. The Triton Invitational pairs invited amateurs with a professional of their choice, and Antonius accepted his seat from Finnish gambling tycoon Ossi Ketola.

He topped a 102-entry field that built a $20,400,000 prize pool, then ground down 69-year-old novice Vladimir Korzinin heads-up.

“I’m living my dream life,” he told Triton’s reporters after the win. “And I want to keep living like this.” At 43, it was the biggest score of his career.

The win capped a relentless Triton-era run. His series-specific record stands at $19,443,588 with two titles from 50 cashes, and 2024 alone brought the €100K Super High Roller win at EPT Monte Carlo plus a fourth-place run in the Triton Jeju Main Event.

The one that got away was Macau in March 2018, where he fell heads-up to elite tournament crusher Justin Bonomo in the Super High Roller Bowl China. He was also runner-up to Phil Ivey at the 2012 Aussie Millions A$250K Challenge, banking A$1,200,000.

Does Patrik Antonius have a WSOP bracelet?

No. Antonius has 0 WSOP bracelets from 27 money finishes and 3 final tables, the most famous gap on his CV. His best run was third in the 2007 $10,000 PLO Championship for $311,394.

He also took ninth in the 2006 $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. and seventh in the 2008 $10,000 Pot Limit Hold’em. WSOP.com’s own counters differ by page depending on whether Circuit and online events are included, so we use the bracelet-event record throughout.

The WPT column reads the same way: no titles from one final table and seven cashes, with runner-up finishes at the 2005 Five Diamond and to Ivey in the 2021 WPT Heads-Up Championship.

Cash Game Career: The Full Tilt Legend

Tournaments only ever told half the Antonius story. His reputation was forged in cash games, from the Bellagio Big Game to the biggest stakes online poker has ever run. For most of the late 2000s he was the man the nosebleed regulars least wanted to see.

Full Tilt was the stage. A Team Full Tilt pro from 2008 until the site’s 2011 collapse, he played the nosebleeds under his real name and finished the era as the second-biggest online cash winner ever, behind only Phil Ivey’s $19M online winnings.

How much did Patrik Antonius win on Full Tilt?

Tracked profit under his real-name account reached $11.316 million. Add his three known screen names, Luigi66369, CryMeRiver9 and FinddaGrind, and the combined figure climbs to $17,807,406, per Upswing Poker’s 2020 figures.

Those are historical numbers from an era that ended more than a decade ago, not a live count. Before Full Tilt he played other networks as I_knockout_U, try_hrdr_fish and -ANTONIUS-.

What the broadcast tables show

Televised games are the only cash sessions with public accounting, and the $2.4 million tracked broadcast profit from the verification table above breaks down by show:

  • Triton streams: +$2,357,812
  • Full Tilt-era TV: +$1,065,935
  • High Stakes Poker: +$409,390
  • Poker After Dark: -$562,500
  • Hustler Casino Live: -$64,900

The Poker After Dark deficit comes with an asterisk. He won one title there, beating Brad Booth heads-up, and twice finished runner-up, to Jennifer Harman and Johnny Chan.

On High Stakes Poker he was a fixture from seasons three to six. His $998,800 pot against Sammy Farha was the show’s largest at the time: they ran it four times and Antonius took three.

The private games that dwarf all of this stay private. For the mechanics that hold up at any level, start with our core cash game strategy fundamentals.

Playing Style

Antonius is a heads-up specialist at heart, an aggressor who thrives when the game gets personal. He plays every variant at the highest level, with Pot Limit Omaha and mixed games closest to his peak.

Portrait of Finnish poker professional Patrik Antonius

His edge was never built in software. He works from modern GTO foundations without being a slave to the solver, trusting live reads, timing and physical tells that the training-site generation undervalues. Four traits define the package:

  • Heads-up pedigree: from the Full Tilt nosebleeds to the 2021 WPT final against Ivey
  • PLO mastery: his closest WSOP run came in the 2007 PLO Championship
  • Stone-cold presence: famously unreadable in seven-figure pots
  • Physical game: trains to hold peak focus through 16-hour sessions

That PLO leaning has never softened with age. If you want the theory behind the format he plays best, our advanced Pot Limit Omaha strategy guide covers the fundamentals he weaponises at the top.

Notable Moments and Record Pots

Two pots define the highlight reel. Antonius still holds the largest pot in online poker history, and in 2023 he dragged what was then the biggest pot ever broadcast on a US live stream. When the record books open, he is usually sitting in the game.

What is the biggest pot Patrik Antonius has won?

His biggest single pot is $1,978,000, won live against Eric Persson in February 2023, a US broadcast record at the time. Online, his $1,356,946.50 pot against Isildur1 from 2009 remains the largest in internet poker history.

The televised hand came on the final day of PokerGO’s Cash of the Titans, a $1,000,000 buy-in game at $1,000/$2,000 blinds against Maverick casino owner Eric Persson.

Persson opened Q♥ 9♥ to $7,000 and Antonius three-bet A♥ K♥ from the small blind. The 3♥ 3♣ 8♥ flop gave both players hearts but Antonius the nut draw.

The A♠ turn left Persson drawing dead when he jammed his last $692,000. The J♠ river changed nothing: $1,978,000 to the Finn.

It smashed the previous US stream record of $1,158,000, set by high stakes wildcard Alan Keating on Hustler Casino Live.

The new mark stood for barely three months before Tom Dwan and Wesley Fei surpassed it. Both hands feature in our list of the biggest televised poker pots ever.

The online record is older and has aged better. On 21 November 2009 he dragged a $1,356,946.50 pot from Viktor Blom, then known to the world only as Isildur1, in $500/$1,000 heads-up PLO on Full Tilt.

Antonius flopped the wheel with A♥ 3♠ K♠ K♥ on 5♣ 4♠ 2♥ and got the money in against Blom’s 9♠ 8♥ 7♦ 6♦ wrap. The 5♥ turn and 9♣ river dodged the bigger straight.

Claims of larger pots in crypto games surface now and then, but none are verifiably tracked. Sixteen years on, the mark still stands in the record books.

What happened in the Durrrr Challenge?

Antonius was the first man to accept the challenge at the heart of Tom Dwan’s unfinished durrrr legacy: 50,000 hands of heads-up poker at $200/$400 and above, started in February 2009.

It never finished. Play stalled at 39,436 hands with Dwan ahead by over $2 million, a figure that varies by source, and a brief December 2022 resumption went nowhere. Seventeen years on, it remains poker’s most famous piece of unfinished business.

Poker Hall of Fame Induction

On 14 July 2024, Antonius became the 63rd member of the Poker Hall of Fame. He was the sole inductee of the 2024 class, and the first European inducted since David ‘Devilfish’ Ulliott in 2017.

The honour arrived at 43, without a WSOP bracelet on the CV. The case was the whole body of work instead: the Full Tilt millions, the televised records and two decades at the highest stakes the game could offer.

His acceptance line summed the man up: “I’m gonna stick around for a long time.” Four months later he made it look prophetic with the $5.13M Triton crown in Monte Carlo.

You can browse every Poker Hall of Fame inductee in our dedicated guide to the game’s most exclusive club.

Personal Life

For a man who has spent twenty years on camera, Antonius keeps his private life firmly off it. The outline is known; the detail rarely leaves the family.

Who is Patrik Antonius’ wife?

Antonius is married to Maya Geller, an American poker player he met in 2008. The couple have two daughters, though older coverage mentions only one child; the recent record says two, and the family stays out of the spotlight either way.

Where does Patrik Antonius live?

By his own account and most biographies, Antonius has lived in Monte Carlo since 2008, after earlier years in Las Vegas. Hendon Mob currently lists his residence as Vantaa, Finland. We note both rather than guess at which is current.

Latest News & Updates

The 2026 story is vintage Antonius: tournaments rationed, cash games first. He sat out the WSOP 2026 bracelet schedule entirely, saying in a May interview that he was grinding Las Vegas cash games on a 5:30am fitness routine instead.

DateEventResultPrize
May 2026$25K PLO Turbo Bounty Quattro, Triton Montenegro3rd$119,000
Feb 2026$25K Onyx High Roller Main Event, North Cyprus5th$270,000
Dec 2025WSOP Paradise, BahamasCashedn/a

The Onyx run in February was the near-miss of the year. He entered the final day at Merit Royal Diamond as overwhelming chip leader in a 207-entry field with $4,968,000 in the pool. It ended in fifth, five-bet shoving A♥ 5♥ into Ottomar Ladva’s Q♥ Q♦.

Montenegro in May went better. He completed the podium in the festival’s closing event, won by Daniel Dvoress, the first player ever to take three titles at a single Triton festival, and also ran seventh in the $30K NLH Turbo when his ace-queen was outdrawn by king-jack.

The one recent scar is High Stakes Duel 5. Jared Bleznick whitewashed him 0-3 across escalating $50,000, $100,000 and $200,000 buy-ins, concluding in November 2024, and Antonius conceded rather than play a fourth round.

The overall damage was $350,000; the $200,000 figure some outlets quote covers Round 3 alone. For more on the man who beat him, see Jared Bleznick’s $200K PLO win.

At 45 he shows no sign of stepping back, and new results will be added here as they land.

Sources & Methodology

How we handle “net worth”

Net worth is not publicly confirmed for Patrik Antonius. Every figure in this profile is an estimate, attributed to its named source.

Our $20M to $35M working range is anchored to verified earnings rather than speculation. He has never confirmed a number and we do not present one as fact.

How we report earnings

“Live tournament earnings” are tracked gross cashes from major poker databases, not profit: they ignore buy-ins, expenses and staking splits. Online figures date from the Full Tilt era and are historical.

Broadcast cash figures cover televised sessions only. Hendon Mob figures reflect the July 2026 snapshot; the broadcast tracker was last updated in May 2026.

How we keep this profile current

This is a living profile. New titles, milestone earnings and status changes are added as they are verified, and record claims are dated to when they were set. Where sources conflict, as with his listed residence, we state both rather than resolve the conflict ourselves.
