This week saw an incredible hand played out on Hustler Casino Live where Rob Yong inexplicably mucked the winning hand and then refused to accept any kind of a refund from Ryan Feldman.
The high stakes $100/$200 NL hold’em game took place in the new and very plush Onyx Club located in Northern Cyprus.
Rob Yong opened for $1,000 in the cutoff with Q♣ J♥ and Ryan Feldman called with A♦ 9♦
Sinan Unlu wakes up with K♣ K♠ in the small blind, putting in a raise to $8,000 and Handz surprisingly folds A♠ 8♠ in the big blind.
Yong and Feldman both call to complete the action.
The pot is $24,800 and the flop comes down 9♥ Q♦ 4♠ and Sinan leads out for $20,000.
Yong and Feldman ponder a short while before making the call.
The turn is the A♥ and Sinan and Yong both check.
Now, Feldman decides he’s going with his two pair and he jams in his remaining $52,800.
Sinan finds himself in an uncomfortable spot here and thinks for quite a while but he’s in no mood to call off so much three-way with just one pair and mucks his hand.
Yong, on the other hand, sat with a nice $632,200 stack, feels he can’t get away when he’s closing the action.
And so the players flip over their hands and wait for the river as Yong announces that he has no chance and can’t win, completely missing that he can hit a queen to scoop the pot.
He actually mucked his hand before quickly retrieving it and waiting for the dealer. But he then does the unthinkable, behaving as the perfect gentleman, and decides after all that his hand is dead, even as Feldman and the rest of the table say they are happy for the hand to play out as normal.
The river comes the Q♥ while Yong is still explaining to the table that his hand is dead, regardless of this being a high-profile stream with a casual attitude between friends at this table.
Feldman tried to insist that Yong at least keeps his $52,200 river bet, but to no avail.
