Spraggy's Net Worth

Spraggy’s net worth is estimated at $1M to $2M in 2026. He has never published a figure himself, and no biography site discloses a method for the numbers it prints.

Our range rests on four income streams we can evidence: live results, a handful of confirmed online scores, a PokerStars contract signed in 2017 and a Twitch channel with roughly 176,000 followers.

Why do Spraggy net worth estimates vary?

Figures published elsewhere cluster lower, between $500K and $1M, because most are built on live earnings alone. That ignores the two things that actually pay a streaming ambassador: the sponsor retainer and the channel.

We set the floor higher for that reason. He has been a full-time professional since 2012 and a contracted PokerStars representative for most of that time. Poker winnings are not taxed in the UK, though sponsorship and streaming income are.

Key distinction: “Career earnings” and “net worth” are different things. Earnings are gross tournament payouts before buy-ins, travel and any staking splits. Net worth factors in sponsorship pay, streaming revenue, tax on that income and living costs. For a streamer-ambassador like Spragg, the off-table income probably matters more than the tracked results.

How much has Spraggy won playing live?

Spragg’s tracked live earnings total $662,230 across 93 cashes, per The Hendon Mob. That places him 289th on England’s all-time money list and around 5,700th worldwide.

Spraggy checking his hole cards at a PokerStars live tournament table

Those are gross payouts. Most of his live volume comes at buy-ins of €1,000 to €5,300 on the EPT and UKIPT circuits, where a 93-cash record also implies a long list of entries that paid nothing.

Results swing hard even for winning players. Our MTT variance calculator for tournament downswings shows how wide the gap between gross cashes and real profit can run over a few hundred events.

Income beyond the tables

PokerStars has never disclosed what it pays its streaming ambassadors, and neither has Spragg. What is public is the tenure: signed in July 2017 and on the roster ever since.

Twitch adds subscriptions, advertising and viewer tips on top. Third-party tracking puts his all-time high at 1,664 active subscribers, a useful guide to scale even though revenue splits are private.

Early Life & Poker Beginnings

Spragg was born and raised in Stroud, Gloucestershire. He started a politics degree, switched to journalism, film and TV, and graduated in 2012.

How old is Spraggy?

Spragg was born in 1990. He has never made the day or month public, so any exact age quoted elsewhere is a guess built on the birth year.

First live cashes

He was playing live before he graduated. His first tracked cash came in May 2011 at Dusk Till Dawn in Nottingham, and a UKIPT Main Event cash in Bristol followed in November 2012.

Aug 2013UKIPT Galway €110 Poker Triathlon3rd€340
Aug 2013UKIPT Galway €1,100 Main Event6th€30,210

He never used the degree. Poker began as garage home games with friends, and by graduation he was playing enough online to skip the job market. Asked in 2017 whether he had tried anything else, he said he had never had a job.

The breakout was UKIPT Galway in August 2013, where sixth place in the Main Event stayed his largest live score for a full decade.

Then the live results stop. The Hendon Mob shows nothing between 2014 and 2017, the years he spent grinding online and building a channel.

By his own account that channel began with 2c/5c cash games and around ten viewers. Four years later he was at the final table of a $5,200 event, a climb that only works with strict bankroll management rules for moving up stakes.

Streaming Career & PokerStars

Spragg’s Twitch account dates from October 2008, but the poker streams began in 2016. Third-party tracking logs his first sessions that November, eight years after he registered the account.

Growth was quick. When PokerStars signed him the following summer he had 17,821 followers, and the channel has since logged close to 11,000 hours live with a peak of 30,415 concurrent viewers.

He belongs to the generation of poker streamers and content creators we profile who moved the game’s audience from television studios to Twitch chat.

When did Spraggy join PokerStars?

Spragg joined Team PokerStars Online on 18 July 2017, announced alongside Irish streamer Fintan Hand. The pair were hired to stream every weekday at 13:00 BST on the PokerStars Twitch channel.

They joined a roster that already held Lex Veldhuis, Jaime Staples, Kevin Martin and Randy Lew. It marked a shift by the operator: away from big-name live pros and towards players who could hold a chat room.

Spragg has outlasted the colleagues closest to him. Hand ended his deal in November 2025 and Veldhuis left in January 2026 after 17 years. Of the three friends who fronted PokerStars streaming for most of a decade, only Spragg still wears the patch.

The night poker topped Twitch

On 19 May 2020, Spragg and Veldhuis both returned for Day 3 of the $10,300 SCOOP Main Event with 40 players left and $1,062,955 up top. They ran a squad stream and were then drawn at the same table.

Veldhuis knocked him out, aces against top pair. Spragg collected $40,955 for 30th, his viewers moved across, and Veldhuis peaked at 58,799 concurrent viewers: a poker record and the most-watched stream on all of Twitch that night.

Global Poker Awards

The industry has recognised the channel twice, with a third nomination in between.

  • Best Streamer, 2021: his first Global Poker Award, voted by players, media and industry
  • Fifth ceremony, 2024: nominated again, listed by the GPI among returning past winners
  • Best Streamer, 2024 season: presented in Las Vegas on 22 February 2025, the same night Marle Spragg won Best Short Form Creator

He may hold that title permanently. With the Global Poker Awards being discontinued by the GPI, Spragg stands as the last winner of the streaming category.

Tournament Career

Spragg’s live record is a PokerStars-circuit record. Almost every cash since 2022 has come at EPT, UKIPT or Irish Open festivals, with a Las Vegas trip most summers for the WSOP.

The volume is recent. Of his 93 tracked results, 25 came in 2023 alone, the year he stopped describing himself as an online player who dabbled live.

What is Spraggy’s biggest win?

His biggest win is the 2023 UKIPT Brighton Main Event. The £1,100 tournament drew 352 entries to the Rendezvous Casino and built a £337,920 prize pool, with £69,120 for first.

Six players came back for the final day. The last opponent standing was Dominik Nitsche, a four-time WSOP bracelet winner, who took £42,150 for second. Football YouTuber Adam McKola finished third.

Spragg picked off a river bluff to leave Nitsche with a single chip and ended it on the next hand. It was a tidy lesson in final table strategy for closing out MTTs: build the lead heads-up, then give a more decorated opponent no room.

Full circle: Spragg’s first major live event was a UKIPT Main Event, in Bristol in 2012. Eleven years later the same tour gave him his first major title. He said afterwards that he no longer felt like an online player who turned up to live events: “I’m just a poker pro.”

Near misses and the Barcelona runner-up

The closest he has come since was the €1,100 event at EPT Barcelona in August 2025. From 313 entries he reached heads-up, agreed a deal with Dutchman Mahersh Selvakumaran and took €42,560 for second.

There is a pattern in the smaller results too: four top-five finishes in hyper turbos and knockouts at EPT Prague, Cyprus and Monte Carlo between 2022 and 2024.

The Irish Open is a fixture on his calendar, with cashes there in 2023, 2024 and 2025. It is also where a close friend ended a running joke, with Parker Talbot finally winning a live title in 2024.

WSOP record

Spragg has no WSOP bracelet. The Hendon Mob lists nine WSOP cashes between 2022 and 2026, the best of them that 80th place in the Millionaire Maker.

YearWSOP cashesBest finish

His record also carries six small cashes from Run It Up Reno in 2018 and 2019, the festival built by Twitch poker’s original star. We covered Jason Somerville’s return to competitive poker when he came back after years away.

Online Results & COOP Record

Online is where Spragg does most of his work, all of it on PokerStars under the screen name “Spraggy”. His full results are not publicly tracked, so this section sticks to scores confirmed by PokerStars or by Spragg himself.

Has Spraggy won a SCOOP?

No. Spragg has two WCOOP titles and no SCOOP title, and the two PokerStars series are easy to confuse: WCOOP runs in the autumn, SCOOP in the spring. His best SCOOP finish is third, in the 2024 Super Tuesday.

That run began with a $109 qualifier, which he turned into a five-figure payday. It is the textbook case for how satellite tournaments turn small buy-ins big during a flagship series.

Two WCOOP titles, both knockouts

The first came in WCOOP 2020, in the $5.50 Mini Sunday Cooldown. The second was on a different scale: the $1,050 PKO Freezeout in 2021, where he beat Hungary’s “Wildace_hun” heads-up.

Around $37,000 of that second prize came from bounties. Both titles were progressive knockouts, a format that rewards the wide calling ranges covered in our PKO and mystery bounty tournament strategy guide.

The largest score of all is not a title. In July 2020 he finished third in a $5,200 Stadium Series event with more than 30,000 people watching the stream. Many profiles list it as a win: it was not.

Playing Style

Spragg presents himself as a mid-stakes grinder who got lucky, which is part of the act. The record says otherwise: titles at $5.50 and $1,050, a final table at $5,200 and a live trophy won heads-up against an elite opponent.

  • Format: No-Limit Hold'em MTTs, with a lean towards turbos and knockouts
  • Stakes: $5.50 to $10,300 online; mostly €1,100 to €5,300 live
  • Roots: micro-stakes cash games before the switch to tournaments
  • Table image: dry, self-deprecating humour that undersells the results

His results skew towards fast structures. Turbo and hyper-turbo events account for an outsized share of his best finishes, formats where push-fold accuracy and bounty maths matter more than deep-stacked post-flop play.

He is also unusually exposed. Thousands of hours of his decisions are public on Twitch, mistakes included, which makes the channel a working companion to our complete MTT strategy guide for every stage.

By the numbers: 93 live cashes at an average of about $7,100, with no single score above $90,000. His three largest results make up roughly a quarter of his career total. That is the record of a volume grinder at mid buy-ins, not a high roller taking occasional big shots.

Personal Life

Spragg’s home life is more public than most, because his wife makes content for a living too.

Who is Spraggy’s wife?

Spragg is married to Marle Spragg (née Cordeiro), an American player, vlogger and fellow PokerStars ambassador. They began dating in late 2019, got engaged in November 2020 and married in a small Las Vegas ceremony in August 2021.

Marle has two Global Poker Awards of her own, for Best X/Twitter Personality and Best Short Form Creator. The pair trade insults online for sport, a routine that dates back to the day their relationship became public.

We rank Spraggy and Marle among poker’s power couples, where their combined live earnings pass $1.2 million.

Where does Spraggy live?

The couple are based in London. The Hendon Mob still lists Stonehouse, the Gloucestershire town next to his native Stroud, as his residence.

Their first child, a son, was born in late October 2025. Outside poker Spragg is a committed video gamer, and has said gaming was the only alternative career he ever considered.

Latest News & Updates

Spragg’s 2026 has been shaped by a newborn and a thinner PokerStars roster. With both long-time stream partners gone from the team, the big online series look different on his channel.

SCOOP moved to March in 2026, and he went into it still chasing a first title in the series. In April he was back at the Irish Open, where the schedule carried an event in his name: the Spraggy Mystery Bounty.

The summer brought one WSOP cash, from a field of 11,769 in the event that ended with Joseph Liberta’s WSOP 2026 Millionaire Maker win. August meant Barcelona again, and a third career cash in the EPT Main Event there.

Those three results lifted his live total past $660,000. His autumn usually runs through the UKIPT and EPT stops that close the PokerStars live year.

Sources & Methodology

This player profile separates verifiable facts from estimates and public claims. We cannot accurately calculate any player’s net worth, but we aim to publish transparent, verifiable information.

How we handle ‘net worth’

Net worth figures for poker players are inherently speculative. We publish a range rather than a single number, explain the inputs that inform it, and flag what cannot be verified.

For Spragg the inputs are tracked live earnings, four confirmed online scores, his PokerStars tenure and third-party Twitch data. Sponsorship terms and streaming revenue are private, so the range is wide by design.

How we report earnings

Tournament earnings on this profile are sourced from The Hendon Mob, which tracks live tournament cashes globally. We cite cash counts and earnings totals as gross payouts, not profit.

Online scores are included only where PokerStars or Spragg himself has confirmed the figure. Widely repeated claims that failed that test, including an all-time online total, were left out.

How we cover controversies

Where controversies exist, we report verified facts and clearly sourced claims without editorialising or assigning blame.

Spragg has no material controversies on the public record.
