Is ACR Poker legit and worth playing?

Tested 31 Aug to 24 Sep 2026

ACR Poker, still searched by many players as Americas Cardroom, is a legitimate room that paid out our USDT withdrawal in 82 minutes and returned exactly 27% of the rake we paid. The trade off is light regulation, with an Anjouan licence, no option to set your own deposit limit and a rule that you must rake 10% of your deposits before you can withdraw.

27.0%

Rakeback, measured

Established, verified account, NL10 6-max, 565 hands across three sessions in September 2026. Fixed 27% deal switched on through support and redeemed from the Rakeback page. No bonus was released during the test, so nothing was deducted from the rake.

Every score in this Americas Cardroom review, and where each figure comes from, is in the audit directly below. Anything Marton could not test is flagged as untested with ACR’s own terms named as the source, and our final call is at the foot of the page.

How we tested ACR Poker

Funded account
Marton Kovalovszki

Former online poker grinder who runs the funded account tests behind our poker room reviews. He deposits, plays real hands and withdraws before a room gets a score from us.

Marton ran the test behind this ACR Poker review on his own account, opened over 10 years ago and already verified, funded with fresh USDT. Every figure below comes from that account and from PokerTracker 4.

An old, verified account usually gets smoother treatment than a new one. Our 82 minute payout proves ACR’s withdrawal system works, not that a brand new account will see the same speed.

What we could not test

An old account rules out a few checks. Where that applies, the review says so and relies on ACR’s published terms instead.

  • Welcome bonus and code VIPELITE. Marton's account was not opened with our code, so we could not test the bonus or the default Elite Benefits start. Both are explained from ACR's published pages.
  • New player verification. Marton verified his ID over 10 years ago and was not asked again, so we did not see the account certification a new player must pass before the first withdrawal.
  • Other payment methods. Only USDT on Ethereum was tested. Cards, Bitcoin and player to player transfers were not.
  • Tournaments. All 565 hands were cash games, so we did not measure tournament fees ourselves.

ACR Poker rakeback and Elite Benefits

Measured plus operator terms

Americas Cardroom rakeback comes in two forms. Sign up with code VIPELITE and your account starts on Elite Benefits, ACR’s rank based loyalty scheme. Ask support and they will move you to a flat 27% rakeback instead, which is how Marton’s test account was set up.

Elite Benefits pays 5.5 Rank Points (RP) for every $1 of rake or tournament fees.1 Your rank decides how many Combat Points (CP) each RP turns into, and CP are exchanged for cash.

RankRequirementBest return
LieutenantDefault, no requirement5.5%
Captain750 RP a month (about $136 rake)9.2%
Major3,000 RP a month (about $545 rake)13.2%
Colonel7,500 RP a month (about $1,364 rake)16.5%
General100,000 RP a year (about $18,182 rake)30.8%
5 Star General1,000,000 RP a year (about $181,818 rake)44%

Best return assumes you save up for the largest cash redemption your rank can use. Smaller redemptions pay less, so a General cashing out 100 CP for $1 gets 19.25%. Medal of Achievement bonuses add between about 6% and 11% on top, paid at yearly milestones from $10 at 750 RP to $200 at 100,000 RP.

Elite Benefits or 27% fixed: which pays more?

Up to Colonel, the 27% fixed deal pays more at every rank. Even with medals, a full year at Colonel returns about 23%. Elite Benefits only passes 27% at General, which takes about $18,200 in rake in a year, or roughly $1,500 a month.

If you rake less than that, ask support for the fixed deal from day one. If you are heading for General, stay on Elite Benefits and redeem 100,000 CP or more at a time.

0 hands a month on regular 6-max tables. Rake is your contributed share, estimated from ACR's published 5% rake schedule and typical pot sizes at each stake, so players who see more flops pay more. Marton paid $1.96 per 100 hands at NL10 in our test.

Elite Benefits pays 5.5 Rank Points per $1 of rake, turned into Combat Points at your rank and cashed in at the best exchange a year of saving allows, plus Medals of Achievement shown as a monthly average. You pick one scheme or the other, not both.

Races, leaderboards and freerolls are not included. With the box ticked, months 1 and 2 use the rank and medals a new account can reach in that time, and the bonus is added on top of Elite Benefits because ACR's pages do not say it reduces it. This is an estimate, not a guarantee.

What we actually received

Marton paid $11.07 in rake over 565 hands and redeemed $2.99 of ACR rakeback, exactly 27.0%. Rakeback is not credited on its own. It waits on the Rakeback page until you press Redeem, and the cash lands in your balance straight away.

The weekly cycle runs from Monday 12:00 ET to Sunday 11:59:59 ET, and the balance refreshes once a day at 4am ET. A negative balance carries over to the next week.

Keep your own tracker running. When Marton asked support how much rake he had paid over a set period, the answer was $7.63, while PokerTracker 4 showed $8.83 for the same dates. Your own database is the only figure you can check.

How the welcome bonus affects your rakeback

On the fixed deal, ACR subtracts any bonus you earn out from your rake before it applies the 27%. The welcome bonus of 100% up to $2,000 releases $1 for every 27.5 points, roughly $1 for every $5 of rake, over 60 days.2

While it releases, you get 20% back as bonus plus 27% of the remaining 80% as rakeback, about 41.6% in total. On $500 of rake that is $100 of bonus and $108 of rakeback.

Our ACR Poker bonus code VIPELITE page covers how to claim it and the full terms.

ACR Rake Structure

Checked 6 Oct 2026

In No Limit and Pot Limit cash games ACR takes 5% of the pot at every stake, collected as $0.01 for each $0.20 up to $1/$2.3 The cap depends on the number of players, and with five or more it is $3 whatever the stake.

Americas Cardroom rake cap at $0.02/$0.05

At $0.02/$0.05 No Limit Hold’em the cap is $3 with five or more players, $2 four handed, $1 three handed and $0.50 heads up. On a full 6-max table that $3 equals 60 big blinds, and it only applies once the pot reaches $60.

With 100 big blind stacks, even six players all in only build a $30 pot. In practice you pay the full 5% on every raked pot at NL5.

The full table cap is the same $3 at every stake, so it saves real money at the higher limits and barely exists at the micros.

What we paid at NL10

PokerTracker 4 put Marton’s share of the rake at $11.07 over 565 hands, about $1.96 per 100 hands. The 27% fixed deal cut that to roughly $1.43 per 100 hands.

The client shows the rake taken from every pot, so you can check each hand against your tracker.

Fixed Limit and tournaments

Fixed Limit uses its own schedule, from 4.5% at the micro stakes down to 1% from $20/$40 upwards, with caps between $0.01 and $3. Tournament fees are set per event and sit outside this schedule, and all of our test hands were cash games.

ACR Poker deposits and withdrawals

Both tested

Marton’s 71 USDT deposit on Ethereum was credited 2 minutes after he sent it. His $98.34 withdrawal reached his wallet 82 minutes after he requested it, and $98.36 arrived, so nothing was deducted.

ActionMethodAmountTime
DepositUSDT (ERC20)$712 min
WithdrawalUSDT (ERC20)$98.3482 min

The confirmation screen says payouts are usually processed within an hour but can take up to 72 hours. Ours took a little longer than the hour, but nowhere near the limit.

How to withdraw from ACR Poker

  • 1Open the cashier and click Withdraw.
  • 2Choose crypto or player to player, the two options Marton was offered.
  • 3Enter the amount, with a $50 minimum.
  • 4Paste your wallet address and check it matches the coin, since a USDT payout to any other address can be lost.
  • 5Enter the security code ACR emails you to confirm the request.

The Mac client also has an annoying cashier bug. Its input fields would not accept the 0 key, so Marton had to request new email codes until he got one without a zero. He also picked a deposit amount without a zero for the same reason.

ACR Poker payment methods and limits

For crypto deposits the cashier asks you to generate a fresh address each time and to send an exact amount, such as 71.022016 USDT for a $71 deposit. Tether runs on the Ethereum (ERC20) network only.4 The minimum deposit is $10 in crypto, or $25 to qualify for the welcome bonus.

Two details from the test differ from the published list. Marton’s cashier did not show Luxon Pay or other digital wallets, which suggests the methods you see depend on your country, and his 10 year old account was still capped at $10,000 per withdrawal.

The 10% rake rule before withdrawing

ACR only approves a withdrawal once you have paid poker rake or tournament fees equal to at least 10% of everything you have deposited.5 Casino and sportsbook play does not count towards it.

Marton raked $11.07 on a $71 deposit, well past the $7.10 he needed. Deposit $1,000 and you need $100 in rake before you can cash out anything, winnings included.

Account certification (KYC)

New players are asked to certify their account before their first cashout rather than at sign up. Uploads go through My Account, Deposit, Account Certification, then Document Verification.6

  • Photo ID. The front of a driving licence or government ID showing your name and date of birth.
  • Proof of address. A utility bill or bank statement in your name, no older than three months.
  • Cards used to deposit. Photos showing your name and the last four digits.

The cash lobby splits into Hold’em, Omaha, 5 Omaha and Other Games, at stakes from $0.01/$0.02 to $5/$10, plus a separate High Stakes tab. The 5 Omaha and Other Games tabs are where ACR stands apart, because split pot games still get tables running.

“It’s really fun for old school players like me that you can play the classic games. You can play Seven Card Stud and Stud Hi/Lo, which are really old school, slower games, but if you like that, it’s fun.” Marton Kovalovszki, VIP-Grinders tester

Tournaments, Spinz and staking

The tournament lobby stays busy. Marton counted more than 20 events running even at midday CET, and far more in the evening.

Spinz are three player lottery Sit and Gos from $0.25 to $100, with a top prize of 12,000 times the buy in. The Staking tab lets you buy pieces of other players in tournaments or sell your own action.

What happened to Skip-It

This was ACR’s AI tournament format. Identical AI agents play everyone’s stack until the money, so nobody gets an edge, and you take over once you are in the money.

Its tab was still there on 31 Aug in client version 2.42.0 and had gone by 6 Sep, after the update to 2.43.0. A search on 25 Sep found a single beta event, with a $10,000 guarantee and a $26.25 buy in on 27 Sep, so do not count on it being part of the regular schedule.

ACR Poker traffic and game quality

Client counts plus SharkScope

ACR shares its player pool with the other rooms on the Winning Poker Network, and the client shows how many players are logged in across it. Marton saw between 4,900 and 9,400 on weekdays, and 21,216 on the afternoon of Sunday 6 September, the opening day of the OSS XL series.

That counter includes everyone logged in, tournament and Spinz players too. It tells you how big the network is, not how many cash tables are running.

What independent data shows

SharkScope records no cash game data for WPN, so there is no independent cash figure to check the client against. Tournament entries are tracked, and our online poker traffic report ranks WPN 10th for tournament entries, with 54,671 a day averaged over the 30 days to 13 September 2026.

That makes it the largest of the three US facing offshore networks we track. The window includes the Venom series, which ran from 13 August to 2 September, and entries were down 1.7% on the previous month.

Waiting times and game quality at NL10

Marton found NL10 6-max tables running in every session, morning, midday and afternoon CET, and a seat at a full table took about 5 minutes. The waiting list works by stake rather than by table, so you cannot queue for one specific game.

Most tables had one or two multi tabling regulars, one or two recreational players seeing a lot of hands, and a few who barely played. The regulars were mostly tight, and Marton did not spot any bots or players following him between tables.

  • Empty tables are hidden behind a NEW TABLES button, so the lobby mostly shows games already running.
  • Tables are not anonymous. You see screen names, can follow the same players across sessions and pick your own seat.
  • The lobby shows table stats, average pot, flop percentage and hands per hour, which helps with table selection.
  • Same table ratholing is limited. Leave a table and come back within 30 minutes, and you must buy in for at least what you left with.
  • Trackers are allowed, so expect the regulars at NL10 to be running a HUD on you.

For a micro stakes cash player, that means a game is always running, even if you sometimes wait a few minutes for a seat.

ACR Poker software, mobile app and HUDs

Tested on Mac and mobile

ACR runs a downloadable client on Windows and Mac, plus apps for iOS and Android. Marton played all 565 test hands on the Mac client, version 2.43.0, and ran a separate session on his phone.

HUDs and trackers

There is no built in HUD, but third party trackers are allowed and PokerTracker 4 worked with no workarounds. Hand histories are complete, open inside the client and can be exported.

The client adds two small helpers of its own, an action history for each hand and optional hand hints that highlight your best combination on every street.

Table tools Marton used

Everything below was checked at the tables during his three sessions.

  • Notes and colour labels on any player, by right clicking their avatar. Nothing saves until you click the green tick.
  • Time bank of 30 seconds per table, not shared across tables.
  • Default buy in and auto top up, so you do not retype your stack at every table.
  • Hotkeys and bet sizing buttons, all of them customisable.
  • Five clicks from opening the client to sitting in a hand.

Americas Cardroom on Mac

The Mac client works, but it takes time to learn. Basic actions such as top up or the tournament lobby are not highlighted, and animations are on by default, so the tables feel busy at first. If Mac support matters most to you, compare it with the other poker sites that run on Mac.

The cashier is slow, and some pages such as account history open in a browser. On Marton’s first try at four tables the client disconnected. He could see the action but his clicks did not go through, and only a restart fixed it.

Disconnection protection kicked in on the table where he was in a hand. He lost his seat at the others, and the tables did not reopen where he had placed them.

“After some learning time, the software is highly adjustable, with a lot of features for grinders and fun animations for casual players.” Marton Kovalovszki, VIP-Grinders tester

ACR Poker mobile app

The iOS and Android apps download from ACR’s own site rather than the App Store or Google Play, so on an iPhone you have to trust the developer profile before it opens. The app keeps the essentials and runs up to four tables, switching you to whichever one needs action.

Two things annoyed Marton on mobile. Bet sizes are hard to see, and menus only close when you tap their icon again, which slows you down when multi tabling. Our guide to the best mobile poker apps covers the alternatives.

Settings, animations and mini games

The settings menu includes short tutorial videos on the client, which Marton found useful. Under Playing Experience you can switch off Rabbit Cam, emojis, avatars, rake race points and the card and chip animations.

Who runs Americas Cardroom?

Terms checked 6 Oct 2026

ACR Poker, launched as Americas Cardroom in 2001, is run by International Processing Services SA, registration 155667334, based in Panama City.5 It is the flagship room on the Winning Poker Network and holds licence ALSI-202607066-FI2 from the Anjouan Gaming Board.

Anjouan is an offshore regulator with far less dispute recourse than the UKGC or MGA, so think twice before leaving a large bankroll in the account. The terms dated 18 August 2026 also still say parts of the service run under the laws of Curaçao, so the paperwork has not fully caught up with the licence.

ACR is not licensed by any US state regulator. It accepts players from most states, but its terms shut out nine of them, along with 18 countries.

WhereRestricted
US statesWashington, Kentucky, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada and New Jersey
Countries18 in total, among them Australia, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Israel and Turkey

Whether playing is legal where you live depends on your state’s own law, and we are not lawyers. In New Jersey and Michigan, both on ACR’s list, state licensed poker sites are the regulated option. Elsewhere, our list of US friendly poker sites covers the offshore alternatives.

Responsible gaming tools

ACR’s responsible gaming page tells players to set deposit limits they are comfortable with.8 Its own terms say there is no option to self set deposit limits, and Marton found none in the client.

When he asked the virtual assistant about setting one, it answered a different question about raising limits. These are the tools that do exist.

  • Game Restrictions. Caps on tournament buy ins with stop losses, plus stake limits for cash games. Going over one returns a generic error 753 rather than a clear message.
  • Disable Games. Switch off cash games, tournaments, mini games, casino or sportsbook, although you can switch them back on at any time.
  • Self exclusion. Disabling your account permanently, after which it can never be reopened.

Marton set a stake limit to test it, then tried to sit at a $0.50/$1 table above it. The client blocked him, but only with an error code that tells you nothing about why.

Security and game integrity

Every withdrawal needs a code sent to your email, which Marton had to enter to confirm his, and two factor login is available in the settings. ACR also works with GTO Wizard to check for real time assistance and shuffles cards folded preflop back into the deck in its Omaha games, which makes sharing hole cards with a partner useless.

We cover these measures in more detail in how ACR Poker has kept online poker clean for 25 years.

ACR Poker customer support

Contacted 4 times, Jul to Sep 2026

ACR has no phone line, and in our test the chat window never reached a person. Support starts with a virtual assistant in the client, which either answers you itself or writes an email to a human agent for you.

Does ACR have live chat?

Not with a person in our test. The chat window opens an assistant called Win_e, and when it cannot help, it takes your nickname and passes the question to the support team by email.

Replies follow US hours. Marton’s July request was confirmed automatically at 9:30 CET and answered at 20:25 CET.

How to get a useful answer from ACR support

Marton’s advice after four contacts comes down to using the assistant the right way.

  • 1Start with the virtual assistant and pick one of its preset topics if yours is there.
  • 2Ask it to email a human if it cannot help. You get an automatic confirmation straight away and a reply within a day.
  • 3Doubt confident answers about features. When the assistant does not know something, it can give an answer that sounds right and is not.
  • 4Skip the contact form. Marton's message through it never got a reply, and an ad blocker can hide its captcha.

Both human replies came within a day and dealt with the actual question. The weak points are the assistant guessing and a contact form that seems to go nowhere.

How ACR Poker compares

Traffic report, 30 days to 13 Sep

CoinPoker is the closest crypto alternative for players outside the US, since its terms shut out US players. It logged 59,908 tournament entries a day against WPN’s 54,671 in the 30 days to 13 September, and had 1,935 cash players online on average, third of all networks, where WPN reports no cash data at all.

Black Chip Poker runs on the same Winning Poker Network, so you play against the same pool under a different brand. GGPoker is far bigger, with 9,345 cash players and 655,781 tournament entries a day, but its main site does not accept US players. WPT Global, with 72,733 tournament entries a day, does not take US players either.

How we score rooms

Play here if

You play cash at micro or low stakes from the US, want to run PokerTracker or another HUD, and enjoy games such as Stud Hi/Lo and 5 Card Omaha that few rooms still run.

Play elsewhere if

You want a tier one regulator, deposit limits you can set yourself or a human on live chat, or you live in a country on ACR's restricted list.

Our USDT withdrawal landed in 82 minutes and the fixed deal paid back exactly 27% of the rake we paid, which is why ACR scores 3.8. It falls short of a higher score on trust, with an Anjouan licence, no way to set your own deposit limit and a 10% rake rule before any withdrawal.

Marton would keep playing there with his own money, mainly for the US field at small stakes and the classic games he cannot find elsewhere. Sign up with code VIPELITE, and ask support for the 27% fixed deal unless you expect to rake more than about $1,500 a month.

Frequently asked questions about ACR Poker

Is ACR Poker legit and safe?

Yes. ACR Poker has run since 2001, is now operated by International Processing Services SA in Panama under Anjouan licence ALSI-202607066-FI2, and our USDT withdrawal arrived in 82 minutes. The weak spot is regulation, since Anjouan gives far less dispute recourse than the UKGC or MGA.

What is ACR Poker?

ACR Poker is the current name of Americas Cardroom, the flagship room on the Winning Poker Network. It has run since 2001, accepts players from most US states and is best known for the Venom tournament series.

Is Americas Cardroom legal in the US?

ACR is an offshore site and is not licensed by any US state regulator. It accepts players from most states but not Washington, Kentucky, Delaware, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Nevada or New Jersey, and whether playing is legal depends on your own state’s law.

What is the rake cap at $0.02/$0.05 on ACR Poker?

ACR takes 5% at $0.02/$0.05, capped at $3 with five or more players, $2 four handed, $1 three handed and $0.50 heads up. With 100 big blind stacks the $3 cap is never reached at NL5, so in practice you pay the full 5% on every raked pot.

How do I get 27% rakeback on ACR Poker?

Sign up with code VIPELITE, which starts you on Elite Benefits, then ask support to switch you to the 27% fixed deal. It pays more than Elite Benefits unless you rake more than about $1,500 a month, and we measured exactly 27.0% on our own account.

How long do ACR Poker withdrawals take?

Our $98.34 USDT withdrawal arrived 82 minutes after we requested it, with nothing deducted. ACR says payouts are usually processed within an hour but can take up to 72 hours, and you get one crypto payout a day.

What are the minimum deposit and withdrawal at ACR Poker?

The minimum deposit is $10 in crypto, or $25 to qualify for the welcome bonus. Crypto withdrawals start at $50, and you must have paid rake equal to 10% of your deposits before any withdrawal is approved.

Does ACR Poker allow HUDs?

Yes. There is no built in HUD, but third party trackers are allowed and PokerTracker 4 worked on our account with no workarounds.

Can I set a deposit limit on ACR Poker?

No. ACR’s terms say there is no option to self set deposit limits, even though its responsible gaming page suggests otherwise. You can set stake limits and tournament buy in caps, disable games, or close your account permanently.

Where do I find the VIP-Grinders freeroll password for ACR?

It appears in the Promotions tab of your VIP-Grinders account one hour before each $500 freeroll. You need to have signed up to ACR through us and submitted your ACR username so we can confirm tracking.
