WPT Global has launched online satellites for the WPT Cyprus Championship, running from June 28 to August 9, 2026. Buy-ins start at $1.10, with full packages to the $2,000,000 GTD live event awarded in the Sunday Qualifiers.
Online qualifiers also unlock a $100,000 Winner’s Bonus, paid on top of first prize if they go on to win the Championship outright. Direct buy-in players get nothing extra.
The Championship runs from August 19 to 24 at the Chamada Prestige Hotel & Casino, headlining a festival that starts August 12. The World Poker Tour confirmed a $3,500 buy-in, a $2 million guarantee, and three starting flights in its official Season 24 announcement.
What’s in the WPT Cyprus Package
The Sunday $108 Qualifiers award the WPT Cyprus packages. Every winner receives:
- Championship entry: a $3,500 seat in the $2,000,000 GTD WPT Cyprus Championship (August 19 to 24).
- Hotel: five complimentary nights at Chamada Prestige for two (August 18 to 23) in one double room.
- Hospitality: all-inclusive food and beverage package for two.
- Travel: airport transfers for two.
- Extras: exclusive WPT Global merchandise.
- Bonus eligibility: a shot at the $100,000 Winner's Bonus.
Qualifiers choose which Day 1 they want to play, subject to availability. That flexibility matters with three starting flights spread across the schedule.

How the WPT Cyprus Satellites Work
The qualification path is a three-step ladder. Feeders run daily, and the packages are awarded in the Sunday Qualifiers at 18:06 UTC.

The promotion runs for six weeks in total, ending with the Final Qualifier on August 9. The first Qualifier played out on July 5.

The $100,000 Winner’s Bonus
The bonus is simple: win your seat through any WPT Global satellite, then win the WPT Cyprus Championship, and WPT Global adds $100,000 in cash on top of your first prize.
Last year’s edition shows what that means in practice. Ilia Kitsbabashvili beat a 775-entry field for a career-best $401,100. Had he qualified online, his payday would have read $501,100.

The fine print matters here. The Championship must play to a natural conclusion: any deal, chop, or equivalent arrangement forfeits the bonus. It is capped at $100,000 regardless of how many packages you win, and it cannot be transferred.
Deadlines and Rules to Know
A few dates decide whether your package sticks. Miss them and WPT Global offers no compensation.
- KYC deadline: complete full verification by August 11 or your package is removed, with no compensation or alternative reward.
- Hotel booking: contact Chamada Prestige with your booking details by August 15 to secure the accommodation and transfers.
- Ticket expiry: all tickets, including $1.10 and $11 feeders, must be used before the promotion ends on August 9.
- Package transfers: you can pass a package to a fully verified friend, but the $100,000 bonus, merchandise, and hospitality are forfeited. Only the entry travels.
- Multiple wins: win more than one package and you must use the first one.
- No cash alternative: no refunds or exchanges on any seat or package.
