If there has been one major shift in the poker world in the last five years, it has been the growing prestige of Triton’s High Roller tournament series. In a relatively short time, the top Triton tournaments have become staples for both players, and those of us looking for the best spectator poker.
With Macau regaining momentum, Triton continuing to set the global standard, and 2026 shapes up as a pivotal year for big buy-in events across the continent.
For players operating at the top end of the live circuit, three tournaments stand clearly above the rest.
Triton Million Jeju
The Triton Million remains the most important high-roller event in Asia, and arguably the world.
In 2025 Chidwick proved his poker chops once again, dominating the field and banking $3.5m. once again produced a nine-figure prize pool, reinforcing Triton’s ability to attract global capital even outside traditional hubs like Macau.
Triton Poker Jeju 2026 runs from March 5 to April 1 at Jeju Shinhwa World, marking the series’ 10th anniversary with a new two-part festival designed to broaden its player base. For the first time, Triton opens with Triton ONE (Mar 5–15) — a mid-stakes series featuring buy-ins from $2,000 to $20,000, including an $8,000 Main Event, before transitioning into the traditional Super High Roller Series with six-figure buy-ins.
The second phase (Mar 15–28) delivers Triton’s signature elite events, highlighted by $100,000 No-Limit Hold’em and Pot-Limit Omaha Main Events, attracting the world’s top professionals.
Access to Triton ONE is significantly expanded through WPT Global, which offers daily online satellites, weekly qualifiers, and travel packages covering Main Event buy-ins and accommodation.
If anything, we expect to see even more high profile pros making it down to Macau this year, with some side game action that’s pure catnip for regular Triton cash game regulars like Tony G, Handz and Elton Tsang.
APT Jeju Classic 2026
The APT Jeju Classic has rapidly evolved into one of Asia’s premier poker festivals, and the 2026 edition is poised to be among the top three high roller stops on the Asian high roller calendar.

In 2025, APT Jeju shattered records across the board. The festival generated more than KRW 18.4 billion (USD 13.2M) in total prize money and drew nearly 12,000 entries across its schedule.
The APT Jeju Classic 2026 is shaping up as a cornerstone of the Asian high roller calendar. Across its ten-day festival in Jeju, South Korea (Jan 30–Feb 8), the Asian Poker Tour is offering 99 events with KRW 4.9 billion (USD 3.4 M) in guarantees, including multiple elite-level high rollers that consistently draw serious action from around the region.
What sets Jeju apart is not just the breadth of high-stakes events but the depth and quality of competition. The schedule features a KRW 500 million (USD 340 K) Super High Roller with double re-entries and a KRW 15 million buy-in.
The festival also includes the KRW 700 million (USD 476 K) APT High Roller with a KRW 5 million buy-in, a two-day format that consistently attracts a stacked field and awards one of the most coveted Rose Gold Lion trophies on the tour.
GOP Phnom Penh 2026
GOP Phnom Penh 2026: The Coiled Path is confirmed to run from March 26 to April 5, 2026 at NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Cambodia, establishing itself as a major late-season destination for high-stakes tournament players in Asia.
The festival brings a comprehensive schedule of events across 11 days. The $100,000 Super High Roller, and a $90,000 High Roller events are set on the schedule.
The March 29–30 GOP Super High Roller ($8,500 buy-in with $100,000 guarantee) and the April 4–5 GOP High Roller ($4,400 buy-in with $90,000 guarantee) give players a chance to contend for big prizes without the nosebleed buy-ins of some series.
Between those marquee events, there is also a standalone $3,300 Mystery Bounty on March 30 to look forward to.
GOP Phnom Penh 2026 doesn’t have the high roller prestige of APT or Triton events yet, but it looks set to become a fixture on the Asian high-roller circuit.
