The $10million GTD ACR Venom has a winner! The so-far anonymous ‘kingqueensuited’ last night scooped the $1,505,240 top prize ahead of a tough final table.
The flagship NLH tournament on the US-facing site attracted 3735 entries at $2650, creating a roughly $100k overlay. That number was close to the number locked up by the final tablists who convened last night to battle foe the prestigious online poker title.
ACR pro Katie Lindsay, also sometimes known as the better half of online legend Chris Moorman, was in the mix, as were 2-time WSOP bracelet winner Minh ‘Bow2Me’ Nguyen and well-known pro Ryan ‘PLOtential’ Laplante.
Referencing Laplante’s ACR nickname, the $2million GTD PLO version of the Venom also finished yesterday, ‘Leko911’ picking up the trophy and $436,926.
For ‘PLOtential’, the two card version saw him fall at the first hurdle of the final table with a bit of a cooler. An early position open and a button raise saw Laplante shove from the small blind, but the button had the goods…

Down to four and ‘Cantbereal’ and ‘kingqueensuited’ were now the ‘short’ stacks and when the former couldn’t get away from flopped top pair they were out in 4th, with $583,120 to soften the blow.
The battle for podium spots saw the most brutal of hands send ‘FedorFoldz’ reeling out in 3rd place…
