The tournament evolved from the ¥100M WPT Asia Series that awarded nine WPT Rings through March 15. That series ran four Mystery Millions events at escalating buy-ins. The new permanent version standardises at ¥188 with a Saturday finale every week.
How the Tournament Works
Day 1: Flights Every Two Hours
Day 1 is pure chip accumulation. No prizes are awarded and no bounties are in play. Flights launch every two hours from Sunday through Saturday, giving players a multi-flight qualification format similar to satellite structures.
Only the top 10% of each flight qualify for Day 2. The threshold is strict, but unlimited re-entries mean players can fire as many bullets as their bankroll allows.
Day 2: Saturday Finale at 20:30 UTC+8
All Day 2 players are in the money the moment they sit down. Every elimination from that point triggers a mystery bounty prize, with half the ¥2,000,000 prize pool reserved for bounties.
- Day 1 flights: run every two hours, seven days a week. Pure chip accumulation with no prizes or bounties at stake.
- Qualification: only the top 10% of each flight advance to Day 2. Players can enter unlimited flights, even after qualifying.
- Stack combining: players who qualify through multiple flights combine all their Day 2 stacks into one.
- Day 2 finale: every Saturday at 20:30 UTC+8. All Day 2 players are guaranteed a minimum payout from the regular prize pool.
- Mystery bounties: every single elimination on Day 2 triggers a mystery bounty prize. Half the ¥2,000,000 prize pool is reserved for bounties.
Players who qualified through multiple flights combine their stacks. That rewards volume: the more flights you survive, the bigger your starting stack on Saturday.
The $27,500 Bounty at 1,000x the Buy-In
The ¥200,000 top bounty is guaranteed every week. At a ¥188 buy-in, that works out to a 1,064x multiplier. For context, that is one of the largest bounty-to-buy-in ratios in any permanent weekly tournament online.
How big is that multiplier? A player who enters a single Day 1 flight, qualifies for Day 2, and pulls the top bounty would turn $26 into $27,500 before any regular prize pool payout. The expected value of each bounty envelope varies, but every elimination guarantees a payout.
