Andy Bloch is selling his $8,000,000 Million Mansion

Former Full Tilt pro and MIT blackjack legend Andy Bloch has put his Las Vegas mansion up for sale, the price tag an eye-watering $8,000,000!

10,591 Square Feet of Uninhibited Luxury

The 3-story estate at 64 Promontory Ridge Drive boasts ‘10,591 square feet of uninhibited luxury including an elevator, wet bar, and secret lounge areas’, according to Concierge Auctions.

It also includes a home theatre with a state-of-the-art sound stage, as well as 6 spacious bedrooms, including a “vast master escape” bedroom. The buyer will also have access to a private Arnold Palmer Ridges golf course.

Bloch’s poker career dates back to the early 90s, since when he has amassed $5,369,285 in tournament cashes, including a $1,029,600 runner-up finish behind Chip Reese in the 2006 WSOP $50k H.O.R.S.E. bracelet event.

A further 12 six-figure cashes include a 2012 WSOP bracelet in the $1500 Seven Card Stud event, and a near miss when he battled Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson in the final of the National Heads-Up Championship in 2012.

Black Friday

The 2012 bracelet win was “bittersweet” for Bloch, coming just as Full Tilt Poker’s woes were revealed to the world. The site’s financial mismanagement was laid bare in the aftermath of Black Friday. A $300million+ black hole of player funds revealed.

Bloch and other pros such as Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, Howard Lederer and Ferguson himself were all caught up in the fallout. The latter pair, along with FTP founder and CEO Ray Bitar, have yet to be forgiven by most of the poker community.

Epic Blackjack Success History

Bloch, however, is known perhaps even more for his involvement in the legendary MIT Blackjack team. It was featured in Ben Mezrich’s best-selling book ‘Bringing Down the House: The Inside Story of Six MIT Students Who Took Vegas for Millions’.

The incredible story of their card-counting exploits made it into two movies. The best-known is the box office success ‘21’ starring Laurence Fishburne, Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, and Kate Bosworth.

With such an adventurous and lucrative life, it’s perhaps no surprise that Bloch could afford one of the finest homes in the exclusive Las Vegas ‘The Ridges’ settlement.

Selling it, however, has been more difficult than he imagined. A previous attempt with a $9million price tag on the traditional housing market failing to produce a buyer.

That, says Bloch, is why he has decided to go down the auction route.

“I knew my property would be attractive to the right buyer, but I underestimated how long it would take to find them,” he explained in a press release.

He added: “Auctions create a multiple offer situation and facilitate a transparent bidding war—all on an expedited time frame.”

The bidding for Bloch’s mansion starts on February 25th.  Prospective bidders have to place a $100,000 deposit to take their seat in the game.
